Disaster

Could someone have loosened the bolts to come back later and nick the wheels, and they got disturbed. Just a thought

They should have been torqued up after the gun was used. and checked again after 50 miles. Was there any grease or copper slip used on the bolts?

Not if the 15mm spacer left only 4 threads spare on the wheel bolts.

Hi, they were not torqued up or checked again, there was copper grease applied to the bolts, I have also invested in a new torque wrench and will check every week.

If they were copper greased they may have been over tightened stretching the bolt or damaging the threads,

Id say this is probably the cause of them working loose tbh :(

Good job you were travelling at a low speed!!

If the front face of the wheel is still intact I'll give you some beer money for it rather than throw it away. Im 20 mins from Ely.

Just seen the pictures and, as stated above, I would not be repairing that. Even if you find someone to do it (with the elongated holes as well) would you feel confident with it?

I certainly wouldn't.

Hi I have to agree, new wheel ordered.

Hi PM me.
Terry.

Wheel bolts should NEVER ever be tightened with an air gun/wrench, only loosened. A hand torque wrench must be used to tighten the bolts to +_ 110Nm. Seems incompetence is everywhere:wallbash:
