What is the speedtronic limiter?
I can work the speed limiter.
I use cruise control, mine does 1mph and 5mph increase/decrease.

In don't know what speedtronic is?

I tried the limiter once, but I won't bother with it again. I have Distronic which I use a lot. (I found Speedtronic a waste of time on our roads.)

Car is driven in either cruise control or speed limiter depending on traffic conditions.

Like to be able to stick a finger up each nostril of traffic police!

Makes driving much more relaxed, do not have to constantly monitor the speed

Don’t use limiter as too much effort

You just wait till you get ya new wheel n welding gloves. Micheal Jackson's Speed Demon springs to mind.

I used the limiter... once!
Sometimes use cruise... mainly in the 50 limit roadworks on motorways.

I use both, regularly, as I commute using the Motorway, and these days it seems to be nothing but endless 50mph speed limits !
I find cruise is excellent when it`s quiet - set it to 50, bang-on, and chill out, but when it`s busy, I find the limiter equally useful when I know my speed will be going up/down, but still never above the limit I`ve set it to.

Perfect really !

Never use the speed limiter, feels a bit weird when driving to me. But I am a huge cruise control addict and use it loads!

Thanks to this thread I looked into it and now know how it works so have started using it :D

I use it on the GTS sometimes because I don't have the Distronic Plus on that however the E63 AMG does have Distronic so don't use the speedtronic at all in that one

How regularly used the limiter on every Mercedes I have owned. Absolutely great around town, or in traffic / roadworks. Proud to have always had a clean licence, and feel that this helps keep it that way.

I use cruìse whenever traffic conditions allow and the speed limiter in roadworks and smart motorways, plus in 30 limits

Same here.

Same here.
It was the speed awareness course I did last year that made me start using the Limiter. I just set it to whatever the limit is round town and then you just don't need to look at the speedo.

I've used the limiter once but i use cruise control quite a bit. Should probably start using the limiter tho tbh as i pass a few speed cameras on the way to work in town sometimes and i either go into autopilot and cant remember if i was speeding or not or just want to plant the foot to hear the roar :D

I use it a lot as i find it uses less fuel than cruise control. In my head (some have said its a strange place:confused:) i think it reduces fuel supply to keep your speed down whereas cc uses fuel to keep the speed up. Might not be how it does it but i get about approx 50mpg on cruise and 55mpg on limiter.
