Has your car had all of the silver slats etc blacked out? Could you post some closer pics of the side and bonnet slats if so? I've been wondering whether tondo the same myself....

Saw one leaving the car park of the local garden centre restaurant the other day, via the entrance, either because the exit was 50 metres up the drive, or because the driver hadn't noticed he was going out of the 'in'.

Didn't induce hatred in me though, just contempt and despair - for the driver, not the car.

Yeah, they've all been carbon dipped and the car is debadged.... I like a nice clean look to my cars.... or barryed as several in here would doubtless call it

As a result of your post I read the complete thread and am absolutely disgusted and shocked by what I read.

What makes it worse is that yet again, one of the ringleaders appears to be a Moderator.

when I first arrived on MB Club I felt like an outsider.....little clicks of members barracking from the stands etc but as I've watched and learned the past 12 months it really is pretty straight forward to understand how things work.

Anyone with an AMG is going to take Flak off a few of those members that don't.

Anyone that shouts from the Hilltops that their car is the loudest on the Block may as well duck for cover

Anyone that speeds (Over 71mph) will take a cucumber up the **** off those that don't

Anyone with a Personal Number Plate will create offence to those that don't

and so on.........

Guess what?

Who gives a $hit what other Members think, post what you like, comment how you like (The Mods will soon edit if out of turn) but more importantly, enjoy

Sounds like nothing more than a bit of a confusion over the technical terms being used rather than a reason to issue legal papers.

Of course if the chap in question neither was neither declared personally bankrupt nor presided over an insolvency event which then may or may not have Phoenixed then thats another story.

If thats how you feel you should buy a bus pass! They do A to B admirably.

I don't mind admitting to a slight feeling of jealousy when there's a nice V8 Petrol AMG around. Wish I had one, but still love my old A208.

If it didn't bother someone that other people owned AMGs, that someone wouldn't need to post as they genuinely wouldn't care - as in the majority on here.

Not sure if the whole thing is a Clarkson quotation, your use of quotation marks leaves something to be desired, but, as much as I like the man, it's always good to remember that he is an entertainer and a wit, not a sage.

As for AMGs, I've never wanted one and wouldn't be jealous of anyone who owns and/or drives one, but when I read about reaction on the road to a particular vehicle, like the claptrap about BMWs being targeted for speeding, I have to wonder just how much is down to the way it is driven.

I often wonder if some drivers of sports cars have it in their head that they are designed and built to be driven in a certain 'sporty' way whatever the road conditions, and that they are letting down the side if they drive sensibly. Maybe they would also say that aggressive reaction from others is just jealousy.

Sorry Deane ,I didn't realise you were the arbiter of who is allowed on here and who is not. I will try to be more of a car nerd like you in future,sir. I promise to believe that driving a certain brand of car will increase the size of my manhood,make women swoon and ensure the peasants doff their caps when I pass.
