Dronsfields customer service

They sent you a damaged unit and you can't fauly their service?

Things happen, I cant fault their customer service (at the time) due to how they fixed my problem, new unit out following day in A1 condition. yes it should have been like that in the 1st place, but theres no point in kicking off without giving them a chance 1st.

Scrapyards will remove any part with value, thats how they work. For example buy a door off them and they will remove the glass, doorcard, motor etc.

I would say both parties are right, in the way that the picture includes the Airbag & the advert doesnt mention that no airbag is included. On the other hand the close up pictures arent of the bag, only the wheel.

Some of them are tight , money-grabbing so & so's - others not too bad - it can be a matter of establishing a relationship with local scrappys .

I've taken doors off cars and not been asked to remove anything from them - although if the car had a nice leather interior , I would leave the door card out of consideration for the next customer who might want the complete interior .

I agree the ad is ambiguous , but none of the 4 photographs show the wheel without the airbag ?

Not having airbags in any of my cars , it is not something I've thought about , but it is a bit like buying a non-airbag wheel and not getting the centre pad ?

As others have said , if the OP has an existing airbag from his standard wheel which will fit this one , then it is all academic and a point of principle .

I have heard so many stories about this particular supplier that I doubt I'd chance dealing with them , other than by personal collection ( although I have heard of people phoning to be told something was available and 'gone' by hte time they got there ) .

Dronsfield and customer service in the same sentence.... lol

I learned my lesson, will not be using them again.

Euromerc,
order placed on 11 dec. polite request for info on 21dec. now the 5 jan no info no replies no parts and they use google checkout which is rubbish.

It seems i have lost £32 for not doing a search on MBclub first.

Not impressed.

Both companies have made my 'avoid' list for all the reasons stated in this thread.

Can you hear the noise?

Bennespipers only wanted the airbag to see if he could get a tune out of the thing. ;)

:D:D

Your email from this afternoon?

"I have not recieved any info on my order I have not received any parts. The total lack of communication is not acceptable and I require a full refund"

At which point you got a full refund.

You have not lost £32 and I don't know what happened to your mudflaps.

Just bought a wood steering wheel from them through e-bay, picture showed full wheel (with air bag) & description did'nt mention they were going to remove anything from it. Has arrived minus air-bag , so just got the bare wheel, do you guys think iv been ripped off ?
LINKY Have spoken to their manager,& he thinks what they've done is correct

The picture shows a dashboard and a whole lot of other stuff too.

To be fair to Dronsfields they advertised a steering wheel, and sent you a steering wheel.

Its probably a little sneaky and would ask for £30 to cover a replacement..

Dronsfields I have used many a time... Service is variable to say the least.

Hi Jay, as said, iv already spoken to them twice with no result, as far as im concerned its now just a case of whether i give them neutral feedback or not

I think I might actually give thought to negative feedback if they are not at all interested.

Its the "do what you like" attitude that would really annoy me, not the lack of something I dont actually need.
Dronsfield and Mercman are my pet hates at the moment for increasing prices, Dronsfield quoted me £175 for the ECU I needed (by part number) with absolutely no right to return it if faulty, then upped the price to £350!

If I can see and remove parts myself these days then I just dont bother

Nothing has changed - Dronsfield customer service could be a Basil Fawlty sketch - oh I see sir you wanted an engine that works, oh I see.......

I wish i had bothered to do a search on this company before buying something from them - now i am £100 out of pocket

i purchased some rust and some other rubbish from dronsfields
the only useful thing they sent me was an acre of bubble wrap which i now rent out as a bouncy castle.i think this was to stop the water leaking out of the `sunroof motor`they sent
buying car parts from uk internet sites is an absolute waste of time as they are not the only useless sellers out there.shame is that had they charged me proper money for decent parts i would have bought more stuff from them.
don`t be affraid to post negative feedback ,that`s what it`s for.

yes it is - they are about 25 miles from me but i still get it posted. I bought a cam magnet from them via ebay and they were most helpful - you can check my feedback on their ebay profile its brightsparkes67
