Me and Simon are booked in for a Dyno day on the 22nd, we have both been waiting a while, sorting our cars and for me fine tuning my map, we have nothing major mod wise, smaller pulley and EC map, I also have the TCU tune but I still expect both of us to put down good power, if anyone is interested and have a supercharged 55, it might be worth giving charlie a call and getting booked in, as it would be great to compare.

Mods for me
SC pulley, TCU map, EC Map, colder NGK plugs, SC HD Smaller Belt, everything else stock.

Hey Billy, visited Charlie yesterday at SRR to get some data to fine tune my map

Thanks for that mate, pretty impressive, I am hoping to break the 600bhp barrier @ SRR last time I pulled 563 with the EC map 0 mods , I think anything over 550 is pretty good, if I can get the 600 I will be well happy

its definately doable, once my AFR`s are sorted i`ll pay charlie another visit, its running pretty rich at the moment.

That looks pretty impressive Alps. My car definitely feels better now than it did straight after the Eurocharged SRR day when my ic pump failed. I am hoping for some better BHP figures this time as my ic pump now replaced. I would be happy with something in the region of 550BHP. What torque figure did your car achieve? Mine was just over 600lb/ft previously which I was quite happy with. It will be good for me to get some new figures now and then see if Jerry thinks it could be tweaked a bit when he is next over.

My last dyno run attached....I was well happy 560hp / 560 lb-ft torque, again like Alps running a bit rich (over 5000rpm) so maybe can get a bit more, car feels great, booked in for tuning tweak when Jerry is back...

Thanks - will post mine up tomorrow so we can see how they all compare. I think Billy's will be pretty impressive!

hope it all goes well for you!

I got the dyno operator to put the HP increment's set @20 so I could analyse the curve in more detail...

Good luck Guys, looking forward to seeing the graphs.

Simon, I reckon yours will do well, if I remember rightly you were hitting inexcess of 600lb/ft with cooling issues..........

Ask Charlie to over lay both of your best graphs - include BHP, Torque and AFR.

Jules

Probably a bit late for them they were on first thing :D

i also dont think charlies old DOS based software is that advanced! lol

CLS55 AMG Results

Please find my latest dyno run, Approx 582.3 BHP and around 640ft Torque, not bad for a EC Pulley and EC Remap, no other Mods....:bannana:
3 hard runs and no cooling problems.

Its running a bit rich like the others, so I have asked Jerry to have a look my file.

Simon will be along later, great bloke and great to meet up with him again, even treated me to breakfast...He needs a EC cable if anyone can help him out. As I will be sending his file off to Jerry later.

Great results, especially strong lower down the rev range, def have an opportunity to improve a touch further due to your AFR line (assuming I am reading it right).

The difference in torque from your original SRR run is very interesting..

Jules.

Yes the pulley defo added some of the torque, the cleaned injectors, new HD SC belt, Cleaning the Throttle body, and new spark plugs have all helped I am sure, the noise from my exhaust is deafening at full chat, and its standard, very strong car and I am well happy, not the 600bhp I was expecting, but 106 bhp over standard and massive torque, cant complain to be honest.

Right Guys - met Billy at SRR this morning for another dyno run following my ic pump failure on the original club dyno day.

Good to see Billy again and see his car in action after all his tweaking. His motor is a beast!

Anyway figures pretty much what I was expecting 549bhp and 610lb/ft. As said previously I would be happy with figure around the 550bhp mark but I suppose quietly I was hoping for more, but the motor runs well so that is the main thing. My torque figure peaks at pretty much the same as before but now appears much more linear and generally higher across the range.

I have attached charts from today and my originals from the club day. Many of you guys will have much more of an idea what all this means than me so any input much appreciated!

BTW - have any of you CLS guys got some rear boxes for sale? After hearing Bill's car on full song the stock CLS exhaust definitely sounds better and louder than stock E55, and I think the boxes may be a fairly easy fit.

Great results guys....data is good but its how the car feels thats the important bit for me. Considering that UK stock W211 E55/CLS55 476hp, Stock CL55/SL55 493hp, really good gains:thumb:

Could not get the whole graph to match as the scale was different so this was as close as I could get.

Simon's torque starts off higher but does not peak in the same wasy as Billy's early on, Billy's HP also continues to climb to redline.

This chart is from 2.5k to 5.5k which was Simon's peak
