E300TD W210 "W and S" Switch on gearbox

did my 1998 E300TD today and by christ what a difference it makes to the performance, i was the same, had the car for 18mths now and thought it was quite sluggish on the uptake, after reading this thread decided to try out the tell tale signs and found mine had them all...............but thing of the past now...what a motor!!!!!!!

Did mine today - Big difference ! - I had convinced myself the switch was ok for a long time - Today, I had a spare afternoon and thought I'd take a wee peek. The information provided gave me the confidence to give it a go. Love my E300TD again !

Don't know if it makes a difference but obviously someone thinks it does.

You have to question peoples's driving ability if they can't tell they're pulling away in first or second - for a start don't you count the shifts anyway?!?

For the record - S is Standard - not Sport or Summer; W is Winter.
