thanks everone for your advice last time but there is still no power from my mb.
the car has just had 2 new injectors and seals new diesel bleed off pipe discs and pads allround and 2 new rear tyres all at the grand cost of £496.76
but when i collected fromthe garage the told me everthing was ok I drove her home in rush hour traffic so it was all stop start no need to put foot down everthing ok, I then came to a stop at the traffic lights and thought i would give her a blip like you do, No great acceleration and a 3000rpm it change up (very disapointed as the od man in the astra behind me may aswell been sat on my back seat) so i changed to tip and droped her down but nothing still the same 3000 and it needs to change up please any ideas cos with performance like this i my as will buy an astra:confused:

It sounds like you are in a limp home mode. Their should be codes stored if the car has done this, you need to find a specialist (or main dealer) with STAR.

New injector seals and the leak off pipe would never cause a lack of power. did you tell them it had? Did they check the fault codes?

no the car needed two injectors as the were leaking anyway and the pipe had a split in it, if the car is in likp home mode will there be any lights or warnings on the dash as nothing is lit up, is there any tests to do to get the fault codes (in my saab you earth pin 6 and the engine light flashes to give you the code number,

It will need to go on a diag machine. The best one is a Star.

Mine is the same, apparently, on reading, its pos the MAF sensor £55 ebay

2 faults that immediately spring to mind is MAF sensor or jammed EGR valve. Thats just guessing and a star test will help you move forward in finding the fault.

Don't be throwing more parts at it until you have had it on a diags machine to have the fault codes read and checked.

Limp mode could be caused by a multiple of issues, MAF sensors, Fuel line issues, common rail fuel pressure, etc etc. Are you getting any smoke?

+1
Check my thread as I had same problem and you will see a star diagnostic is a must.
Limp mode and then Engine light comes on sporadically no quick pick up
regards Silvano

I definitely don't think it's anything to do with the tyres. So you're only £250 down. Is it a V6 or straight 6 ?

Thats a lot of work for a reasonable amount of money.Sorry your problem still exists-was this a specialist Merc place?

Are you getting smoke? Could be split air hose between turbo and manifold.....just soemthng else to consider. Get it on Star machine.
