Got round to spending some time cleaning up my car today - it's looking good but can't wait to see it once its been with Ed at Divine detail next month. Some pics below.

Went to Wheels In Motion this week and they have cured the left pull on the car and overall it is steering much better.

So far upgrades and repair work -

Eurocharged Remap
New upgraded Bosch I/C Pump
Most front suspension parts replaced due to rust/wear and tear
Waxoyld
Breathers & Gaskets
New gearbox mount
Viseeo MBU3000 (working perfectly for me)

I'm waiting to get booked in at Eurocharged for -

180mm crank pulley and new heat exchanger

Going to wait until next year to think about headers and any other exhaust work. Car seems plenty loud to me when pushing on.

Now done 6500 miles and the car hasn't missed a beat reliability wise - I absolutely love it as, as does my wife and our kids - faster daddy faster. Fuel consumption is the only minor issue but given it only cost £10k and feels like a new car in many ways it doesn't really bother us. I couldn't think of a better car for our bi-monthly London-Scotland trips as a family of 4.

Its also very amusing crushing morons in GTIs away from lights

One thing that annoys me a lot is this. Can anyone suggest what best to do to sort it - respray or replace?

They are rather good aren't they. Mine is identical bar the upgrades and our feelings mirror yours.

Looks superb! very jellous lol git :) :)

Just get one you won't regret it if you bide your time for a good one!

(I spent a year nerding over this forum and autotrader before I found mine)

Nick,
Loads at home, I'll post a few. 90G in red with a few choice mods. New sills this year and the seats were treated and recoloured. I've had it years now and use it most days - its on 254k miles so adding a few really doesn't matter!

If anyone can help with theach bubbledo paint on the plate behind the rear wiper I would be very grateful

All I'd be doing with the rust spot would be masking, rubbing down, rust preventative, skim of filler, rubbing down again, primer, flatting off and finally a rattle can of satin/matt black.

You may get away without the rust prevention as it doesn't look too bad, but take your time rubbing down till you remove it all, or it will be back.

The masking first is to prevent accidental damage to other areas, like the glass... It may need re-doing before painting.

Thanks - very helpful

I'm also amazed no one as commented on the moustache I installed...

Here's a couple

For the rear wipe I'd be inclined to grind back gently with a dremel or similar, rust proof, mask and spray. I imagine a rattle can would be quite adequate. Imagine the feeling of satisfaction on a Sunday afternoon!

Your 944 is sweet. Think I'm going to "invest"

Cheers for the tip on the rear wipe too - excuse to buy a dremel

Are you having it mapped again after the pulley upgrade?

Any reason why you have gone for the crank pulley opposed to the cheaper s/c pulley Nick?

Get the exhaust done. Not very noticeable on low revs, but when you open it up!

The problem with that is prices have gone nuts, along with the rest of the market. A good, known decent miles (<150k miles) turbo is going to cost more than your e55. Then you will start spending!
They are great cars, I have a new turbo from the US waiting to go on but I need a MAF kit too. The combination will be a bit pricey but with a new chg it could be good for 375 bhp.

Yes eurocharged will redo the map to work with any other tuning done by them

Been recommended the crank pulley upgrade but happy to be proved wrong?

Sure the exhaust will happen at some point....

Sun is out today so will get some better pics of very shiny car

.

I don't think there is any right or wrong way of increasing the power whether by crank or s/c pulley. If Eurocharged have advised going down the route of a bigger crank pulley, go with it. They are the experts not me:D

Wasn't them actually. Think they would recommend the s/c pulley as it's much easier job to fit.

Have you done yours?

Better light and location today - really pleased with how it came up
