East Midlands Breakfast Meet & Run 21st August 2016

Yep, my other half & son will be attending after they heard a breakfast and lunch were on the itinerary.. looking forward to it
 
Looks like being 9 for lunch (or 10 if CC brings PP)
Unfortunately ParaquatPam will be in Dubrovnik with her husband AnthraciteAndrew.

I will try to get her to show up at some future event (her R109 is very nice, completely rust-free, doesn't really get used much, certainly not on wet roads).

We've booked to stay the night before at the Lantern Pike Inn, Hayfield SK22 2NG

That name brings back memories.

Mrs Ant and I used to go there for a bite to eat quite regular. (Although we never stayed overnight) the food was fab, very friendly people and the drive there and back was a pleasure. (We lived in Denton, Manchester at the time)

Are you familiar with the pub or first time there?

Let me know how you get on, it's been over 12 years since we were there last. Curious to see if it's just as good as ever.

First time there - I chose it on the dual basis of location and on line reviews.

I've already had a nice email from the owners to thank me for the booking and to make arrangements for an evening meal - and based on that, as well as the reviews I read, it sounds like it is still very good. I'll let you know after the event...

Ok, we have had the grandkids dropped on us that weekend of the run. So Mrs Dogbreath won't be attending. If it's ok I'll do the morning, breakfast and glossop part and when you all go for lunch I'll make my way home....? If the kids were older I'd bring them. But they are only 1 month an 2
Hope this doesn't mess anything up at Strines

No problem not booking Strines until next week anyway when we have confirmed numbers
 
I've been holding back on this before making any commitment, though it's looking increasingly unlikely that my car will be ready by then so I'll have to give it a miss.

Gutted really, as it would have been a good run out and shake down for it. :(

The shed has a Mercedes gearbox,so I suppose I could join you guys as I'm partially there, I'll see what things are like nearer the event.

Meldrew2 where will you join or pick up the convoy ?

Hi Ian.

Our hotel is between Hassop and Glossop - and we have breakfast included. It's probably ideal if we can meet up in Glossop - so if you could let me know where you plan on parking / going for coffee we can meet you there.

We can then follow the convoy to Strines - as long as the AMG brigade will give my little 2 litres a chance to keep up... :devil::devil:

Have you still got my mobile number? I've got yours (if it hasn't changed since Glasgow the first time we met).
