East Yorkshire Breakfast Meeting - 28.03.2020

Are they Jaaaaguar 20s ? Once we get the meetings going again we will have to have a “Best Mod” trophy to be decided by some very undemocratic process and held for a month or until bettered :)

They are from the newer XJ the X351, Kasuga is the name. Like a plastic shield you could win at a mans night out indoor karting type of trophy

I will keep playing botb it will be about the only way to get one. I can’t believe how cheap the db9,s and similar aged vantages are getting.

Dave. You will always be welcome no matter what you’re driving, so long as it’s got neon wheel centres :thumb: :D

Nothing that classy , was thinking about an AMG Private Lounge Tat , sorry Cap , which are apparently so sought after by some folk :D

Well Paul all I can say is I wish:(
No nothing as exotic as that. You will see its nothing to get excited about when I post a picture tomorrow.

I was going with a Supercharger too :thumb:

I’ve had a message from Simon at The Motorist that they will be closed for a couple of months due to COVID-19 and the ongoing building work. I’ve also contacted The Waterwheel to let them know our Breakfast Meetings have been put on “Pause” until things improve.

Andy

I put this larger reshaped intake on my supercharger

Swapped bottom for top

At the TB end i removed the metal not masked of to match the throttle body, reshaping and smoothing along the way

Am I the only one with no modifications to the car? I’d better get a move on before we resume the meetings ;)

As nice as a supercharger would be, they are far to expensive and at my age I think the C63 is quite fast enough.
Now the small mod I have done is to fit an oil catch can (told you it was not exciting) after watching a video on YouTube that shows how much oil gets into the intake manifold.

After seeing the amount of oil that gets sent into intake from the PCV valve (crankcase breather).
I thought I would have a look at mine. Stripped it down and there was a lot of oil in there. Cleaned it up and fitted the catch can in the breather circuit then put the intake manifold back together, and refitted with new gaskets and bolts. It is a pig of a job but worth doing I think.

Sorry to disappoint you Paul, but there is no such thing which is a pity because it would be handy to go back in time:).
Hows your power steering fluid problem going?

Andy “Every day is a school day” , I didn’t know about this issue, thanks for posting. I guess you can empty the catch can easily? Will be interesting to know how much you “catch” over how many miles ? :thumb:

Andy, the can just unscrews from underneath to empty it. There is a dipstick as well to see how full it gets.
Will keep tabs on the miles and how full it gets. You are as they say never to old to learn:D
