I can now search from the steering wheel by either memory (as before) and by frequency.

oh dear! with all these mods i need now, i think i have to agree with the £20 for the lot. does this guy negotiate on price?, my piggy bank is not that full due to christmas, the whale recovery, things yet to happen etc?

amg kit doesnt like cornering light, and i was daft enough to get the folding mirrors anyway.

kph gone tho i think. must rummage thru the sofa.

I know it's three years away for you but wont you have to reinstate the "stupid KPH speedo" come MOT time? When I collected my car, at handover time I was told that it was there because there are no markings on the speedo itself and it's a legal requirement.

If I'm wrong, I'd ask all 6.8k forum members to refrain from jumping down my throat.

Its selectable you can choose "status line" speedo or temperature. Then you choose kph/mph and degrees c/degrees f. It seems madness that the option to choose is disable when the handbook actually refers to it. HTH

On the W211, in addition to the optional display there is a second km/h readout just above the trip mileometer. If your car has one of those then forget what I said but I couldn't spot it in the photos, hence my comment.

Any chance of meeting up this weekend and sorting it?

I have a 2004 build (prefacelift) w203 and I would REALLY like the lockable wing mirrors and the turning lights too and .. and.. etc (all of em!) anything else that would be compatible (not chirpy though thanks (a lot of very early starts )).

I only live 1.5 hrs away...

oh dear, can't make late on on the 11th - although I will be in Kent - but have to get to london on the train at around 11am (dont suppose you will be meeting early will you ? or perhaps on the sunday?)

I could make it for 9am (or before)..?

M I L ' s birthday and going to watch a musical matinee in london is something of a tradition....

Cornering Lights, when you turn at below 25mph the appropriate light fades up and then fades off as you straighten up again.

Note how the road is extra lit on the drirection you are turning

I have spoken to our friendly engineer and he will make the 11th GTG and would like to know what he is required to do. For those who want mods but really cant make the GTG please can you PM me and we will try to make another arrangement.

It gently fades on as you corner and off as you straighten. Believe me when you see it you'd know it was meant and it only does while your turning slowly.

Always makes me smile when someone in a car park says: "Excuse me mate, you've left your lights on".

Just goes to show there are still some decent people about.
