I agree - you need to use tools to remove the filler plug anyway, not really saving much hassle (and you have to crawl under the car regardless, unless you have a workshop ramp )
As ever - always a good idea to remove the filler plug before taking the drain plug out
Ah come on lads whats the point in buying a new tool and not using it for absolutely every possible thing that you can think of, warranted or not. Like when your toilet gets blocked

Small update
I did the clk (m112) on Saturday.
Easy job. Not quite as mess free as I'd hoped, as I spilt a bit transferring from the extractor to an old oil can.
So I did the slk (m111) in Sunday.
Fantastic! about 20 minutes all told, and didn't spill a drop.
I am convert to these things haven't used mine on the ML or EClass yet but its sucked just about every liquid substance from my Pajero 4X4. I remember one satisfying day spent under the car happily sucking fluid from the transfer box, front diff, transmission and rear diff....
Wasn't such an easy job to put the fresh fluids back in though! So although I drained the lot in under an hour it took much longer to replace it all!
Now if only some bright spark could invent one of these that pumps as well as they suck I would be a happy man!
im not a massive fan of these as they cant suck up any bits of sludge etc.. however i do have one for when we get cars in that dont have sump plugs...
What i do use it for is to bleed the brakes... my sealey one came with a brake nipple adaptor and this sucks brake fluid out very well.. much better than pressure bleeder as its not putting too much pressure on at the fluid reservoir...
