An E500 estate or a C43 Estate car are on my shopping list, trouble with the 211 might be numerous electrical gremlins, C43 could prove easier to lookafter longterm...

Hi Nick,

You could pretend that my C43 is an estate, the rear seats do fold down.

And i have just come back from Tony Purslows after service and MOT.

I'm actually hoping that a mod comes along and locks this thread.

I have no affiliation with Euromerc but issues like this should be aired by PM and not in public.

i agree

we've already seen the effects of threads like these can have on businesses. ... all because one new member (who hasnt been back since) started a thread when he hadnt even paid the full amount (postage) for the item and expects it to be sent....

I don't as it's not an isolated incident.

If there is a problem then it needs bringing to attention, after all it can only benefit Nick if he handles it in the right way.

*If* there is an actual problem then it should be dealt with person to person and not in a public forum where viewers grazing threads can get a mistaken impression of what is going on.

*If* PMs or emails aren't being replied to then how do you expect to establish contact?

If it were my business in question I'd be on here like a shot to clarify the situation.

Ive bought may items from Nick over the years and have never had a problem. There was an issue with a brand new control unit that turned out to be faulty, Nick was more than happy to give me a refund but he managed to find a replacement.

By going old-school and telephoning or writing a letter.

While you are to be applauded for your attitude to such situations, surely any response Euromerc make to such threads is not going to improve the image of their company on this forum.

I had great service from Nick, so a positive to keep this in perspective.
It would seem that providing a telephone number on the website could iron out any queries quickly and efficiently though.

I've ordered several times from Nick without problems aswell, and got fantastic prices aswell!

This topic has cropped up numerous times over the last few years.

A search of "Euromerc" shows threads started by people looking for Nick, M.I.A., as far back as 2005, including one from me. http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=61938 . Incidentally despite Nick coming on my thread & posting "I'm always around via PMs or email. " he has never replied to any PM, email or thread post I've used in an attempt to contact him since quoting me a price for a part.

I gave up, figuring if it's this hard to do business when I'm trying to give him money how much fun is it going to be if there's ever a problem? Plenty more parts sellers in the sea.

I've seen many helpful non commercial posts from Nick but it's true to say he also uses the forum to advertise his business & to trawl the 'Wanted' ads for sales. If he's going to do that then something has to change in the way ALL forum members, not just mates, are dealt with.

I have bought from Nick many times and usually its been fine.. when it hasnt he has always sorted the issue out..

Sometimes ive found him hard to get hold of but he always returns my calls sooner or later.

I do feel for him as he seems to be fairly single handed.. i know the feeling.

He must get a LOT of email enquiries.

When i get into work. I normally have around 40-50 emails to get through... this can take me most of the day between everything else I have to do. (deal with existing customers, prep incoming cars, prep outgoing cars, servicing side, go out buying cars etc etc)

Lately I have been so busy im finding the days too short.

Although I have family support, its still too much for me to handle some days. My weekends are particularly horrendous.

So only one thing to do.. Im converting some storage area into an office overlooking the yard and my showroom. Once this is complete ill be taking on a salesman to take the load off somewhat.

Its not been an easy decision as there can be quiet days which would mean this guy wouldnt have much to do... but then I think a business can only grow with people.

So Nick, maybe time to employ someone?

There is no problem!!

Sadly you seem happy to twist the knife and pretend there is one.

1 Man in Spain does not cough up postage to get his seat sensor to spain *despite being told how much it would cost to get to Spain*

2 I get emails and pms at all hours of the day and night that I endevor to reply to, however a *couple* of people are not happy not to have been given hourly updates and so come whining here.

That's because of what you did to Ollie, it's your attitude and manner that puts people off doing any business with you, sorry if that's a bit blunt, but it's the truth.

Selling parts via the internet it's mush easier to do everything by email, that way you can get chassis numbers, email photos etc, you'll find most of my regulars and trade customers do ring me, but for the retail men off the internet email is a whole lot easier.

just wondering whether this forum is for mercedes enthusiasts to discuss their cars or for people in the trade to discuss /bicker about trade.
There should be a seperate forum for this.Am i wrong?

First time I have ever used Nick to ask about some parts for my wifes A class today.

He replied quickly and will help if he can, its down to me now to get him the chassis number.

It difficult to discuss 'other' peoples issues as we only hear half the story.

From what I have read on this thread most people seem happy with the service.

As others have said imagine how many PM's, e-mails, calls he must have. Easy to say get more staff but thats not cheap and will they earn their keep. Its a tough call.

Good Service.

I have bought things from Nick and received great service and saved money at the same time.

I work all but single handed also, and things can get to the stage where you can almost drown in the amount of work you have.
If I could spin any more plates than I do at the moment, I could join a bloody circus.

Indeed, just the other day, I thought I could see light at the end of the tunnel..

Unfortunately, it was someone with a torch... bringing me some more work....

No complaints from me, I have had good service from Euromerc.

Yes!! That's EXACTLY what I attempted to do, but for some reason my messages are falling on deaf ears.

My N/S 210 mirror was not closing. I contacted Nick who had one, he not only delivered it he put the new one on for me which was not a five minute job as the wiring had to be swapped, as they where 210 mirrors upgraded for the C43, which i was not aware of.

Can you imagine if i had taken it to a garage to fit, there would have been a lot of sucking of teeth, can't do anything with that Guv. You will have to take it back to the garage who fitted them, as that was Steve in Holland it would have been exspensive.

Which i find very good service indeed.
