Afternoon all,

I see that there's a newer version of the Audio 20 that has Bluetooth, MP3, Aux in etc. There is one from a Sprinter on eBay will this fit into a 2007 B class?

Would this be plug and play?

Thinking of changing as I have phone prep and a Bluetooth adapter is £200 and the new Audio 20 units are that much.

Thanks for any info!!

Yes it will fit but its not quite plug and play.

You will need a small loom modification for the antenna amp power, plus you will need a microphone extension cable (your car has phone already you say), a bluetooth antenna and an antenna splitter.

Thanks for the reply :)

The auction states it comes with Bluetooth antenna & mic. Will I need those extra parts on top of that?

Do you guys sell them?

Comand Online sell the retrofit kit on their site.

I would just use the comand on line wire and mic extension as in the link, it will save all the grief with mic's

So that looks to be the right kit then? I don't need the bluetooth antenna though or I will end up with two.

Yes thats the kit and yes you do need everything in the kit. See if the seller will reduce the price to supply the Audio 20 without the mic and antenna or you could just re-sell them.

Thank you NPUK for confirming that :)

Good idea about seeing if they will sell without!

I will enquire...

What do you think to £200 for just the unit? Sound about right?

Usually go for much less, as usually ebay is full of units for the A/B/Vito but there doesnt seem to be many at the moment. There is one on auciton current bid £51.

There doesn't seem to be many around. I am watching that one and will see how it pans out. I might just wait then if you think they are normally cheaper.

Found some in Germany that are cheaper and look right. Just want to check that they will function alright? PN A1698705894

Thanks :D

There is also one slightly more expensive that looks the same. Its also down as being for the B Class. Its part number is A1699002000.

Any unit from an A/B/Sprinter will work (part number will start A169).

Ok thanks, don't get why mercedes have so many part numbers for the same thing! The two that look the same and are both for B Class but ones A1698705894 and the other A1699002000.

They are £159 and £175 respectively so getting better price wise :D

Ok another update! Just won one that someone hadn't named very well on eBay for ..... £51!!!! Bargain :D

Just need the kit now from comandonline and should have this beauty up and running!

Ok for anyone interested I have the new Audio 20 unit and cables so will be installing tomorrow or Friday!

So the final update! I've done this mod now if anyone else wants to do it.

Its very easy in the end and everything is clear on the Comand Online instructions so make sure you get the bits from them!!

The only area that isn't the same is the mic. The plug on the comand loom is completely different to the mic plug on the B Class so just cut it and bin it.

You then need to join the white, green and screen together and then connect to the brown on the mic cable. The remaining brown cable on the comand loom goes to the white cable on the mic.

Sounds backwards I know but it then works.

Hope that helps anyone else doing this and I would definitely recommend it looks much more modern and the phone connection works like a charm and all the info is on the centre console etc.

Really impressed!

Could be a placebo affect but I think it even sounds better :D

Big thank you to Comand and Richard!
