to get replacement sl 60 is almost impossible unless u find a cheap rear shunter for the engine, alternative is 500 engine or v12 600 to put in. otherwise i am sure the car will fetch around 5-6k for spares to for other sl60 owners recycling the car.

The problem would be (say) a cam chain failure, I doubt the engine would be economically repairable and you'd never find a replacement. Put in a different lump and it's no longer an SL60 ...

yeah but it beggars belief, why would you pay 200 quid more for the fleebay one which sounds doddgy as hell. Surely 100k service history is better than 60k with no history
