Thanks, it's quite satisfying have 3 shiny cars sitting outside, makes the beer now feel even more satisfying. :)

I bet buddy, Dont you just hate having to brake, All that brake dust up in those arches :D

I try and coast everywhere lol

Looking great Pat:thumb:

Out of curiousity, how many miles do you reckon you have done since you bought it?;)

That's easy, 124,722 on it now, when I arrived back here with it there was 123,846 on it so since I got back I've done 876 miles.

In fairness though I did take a lot to bits and I enjoy that side of it as much as driving and only had it back on road last summer.

My 2010 W212 has not yet clocked 20k miles (never so much as an MOT advisory). ;)

Yes, E250 CDI, not the one we had with the leak that's the other higher mileage one.
Ah right that’s what I was going to ask Pat, would have been surprised if it leaked at 20k. :)

Great way of keeping the mileage down;):D

Exactly, take it to bits and no miles till it's back together. ;)

Had a run down to Lancs. a few weeks ago, there and back with only a short stop to drop tings off, around 500 miles round trip.
No question about what car to take, the old W211 E220, great MPG for the journey and saves piling the miles on one of the others. Also have a little 3 year old Fabia the wife uses, nearly 40k on it and if visiting down south we will take this so the wife has something to drive (wont drive any of my cars for fear of.....).

Started the car today and warmed up.

Noticed something strange, Keyless working on all doors expect the Rear Right.
Checked the Micro-switches with iCarsoft on the rear and they show as working ok.

If I move the key away out of car range and try all the other switches I get the Key Not Detected on dash but not for the Rear Right door even though the switches are showing as working ok!

Here we go again, will end up back in bits.........

Thats one thing i was glad my 2nd 55k doesn't have, Brutus's keyless handles all but one didn't work.

Nice when working but unnecessary complication.

It is very simple tech, 2 buttons, think I worked them out at 300 Ohm and 470 Ohm.

Thing is it is just a crap design, these are not up to the job and another way of doing this should have been used.
I'd give them an IP-01 rating for stopping water getting getting in, if you can't stop the water with this design then change the design. They could have uses a fully sealed touch sort of system so that the entire handle could have been epoxy sealed for life like their gearboxes. ;)

This is the thing, You would have expected MB design tobe right up there but its no where near, My Business partners Lexus 2001 LS430 has keyless and that works fine lol. Also i dont like the feel of the handles compared to the regular non keyless go ones they do feel a little flimsy.

Dont get wrong im in no way taking anything away from your Totally superb car bud, and it is lovely! And i love mine to bits too.

Just frustrates me some of the ways Mb have gone about things. They used tobe so much better.
