No longer a Benz...
Graham,

I saw your posts on the Benzsport site regarding the AMG look Exhaust tips from Japan for the whole Benz range, did you manage to find anymore out about these as I would club together with you to get some if your interested mate

leme know

You know they're about £100ish, and you will have to import from Japan...?

You know you want one of these:

They looked good didn't they, but I have not put any effort into finding any UK suppliers.

£100 is a bit steep for 3 inches of bolt on chrome trim though!

If my back box ever goes (which I hope it doesn't), I would consider the AMG replacement accessory (not a cut up C43 original likes Shudes).

If my exhaust failes before I sell the car on, I will be upset though!

Mine is not a cut up original! It is a 100% stock c43 exhaust rear section! There is a sleeve welded onto my old pipework so the c43 exhaust pipe fits, that's all.

The c43 exhaust rear section is £600, the accessory version is £700.

Guys,

I really can't spend that kinda wedge on a Zorst when the one on there is perfect....

Your right though £100 is steep for the trim Graham..

I rang Motion Styling in Bradford, they said they'd custom make me a complete stainless exhaust with oval AMG style tips for £250, including fitting. Maybe you should speak to a local exhaust shop, see if they can make something up for you, maybe just weld the tips onto your current exhaust?

Shude - I just re -read my post. It sounded worse than I meant!

I know your exhaust is a complete original C43 item, I just meant that it wasn't designed to directly fit our cars.

Yep. I might have considered the accessory version if I'd known it existed (#### stealership denied knowledge too). The old c230k box was puny compared to the new c43 one, it's twice the size! When I turned up to the garage to check on my car I heard a fantastic deep rumbling noise coming from a car and I thought it was my dad's porsche (in for a re-spray), but when I turned the corner it was my own c230k being backed out of the garage side-door, because of the larger box and slightly larger diameter pipework the exhaust now makes a pleasant rumbling noise - the accessory item will not do this (see Koolvin's AMG accessory c36-style exhaust - it's silent). Plus the c43 exhaust is cheaper

You could try these people for a quote on a complete stainless system. Longlife Stainless Steel Exhausts

They quoted me about £200 for my C180, I thought I had a blow but it was just a loose joint so I never had it done.

They can make just about anything you want and make it sound how you want too.
