This is NOT what Swiss Toni and I are discusing.
Way back in the early 1960's it was more convienant to quickly road test the Formula 1 BRM along the nice flat, straight roads tghat surround Bourne rather than load up the cars and head off to somewhere like Silverstone. The only bobby was the local village policeman on his push bike.... He would no doubt hear the scream of the BRM engine whiulst still tucked up in bed, but Raymond may was the main employer so no one would make waves or complain
We boys would sit on the roadside and just wave as these cars would go screaming by.
The picture I took of that BRM was when the roads in Bourne were closed for the afternoon and the town celebrated the 50th anniversary of Raymond May

Those are seriously narrow bars. That bike must be really twitchy
