Favourite wheels

My favourite wheels is the 20" Alpina which they fitted on the e38
This one Peter? Lovely.

I used to think in the late nineties that TSW Venoms were the bees knees on all the lad's Corsas. But reminding myself now, they are alright, but stick out proud of the rim and tyre too much, so isn't something I'd buy now. It seems they had a big Golf following also.

One thing I had forgotten but was reminded of in trawling the Web for alloy wheels; how small (in diameter at least) alloys were generally on some pretty special cars 'back in the day'
Those lovely Porsche 5 petal Fuchs, Ronal Multispokes on the Audi UR Quattro, Sierra Cossies...all 15 inch diameter.

Agreed. I used to love my Sierra Sapphire Cosworth alloys. A pig to clean but they suited the car.
Looking at them now , they are so small at 15"

Some of the wheels nowadays look like dustbin lids on a wheely bin.

Cracking wheels 👌🏻

My 15" RST dog legs that I had on my Escort Van took such extreme punishment, a virtual off roader in my festival, job jobbing, boot fairing days and never went out of balance let alone cracked 😀
Complete with 'bang on ' balance weights......

Very similar to the Sapphire Cosworth, but these are some of my favourite wheels because they were very strong, very light, forged and 20"
How they looked didn't really occur to me....but they were a pig to clean.

I've had a few various wheels 🛞 some were castings like Azev A's, others were forged and hybrid forged wheels. Some wheels look better on certain cars than others and it does take a bit of homework and imagination to get the right one. ✅️ My favourite ones were Brabus Monoblock Startech wheels on my old Yank Tank, wheels were easy to clean and set the car apart. A few of my wheel styles

I do like these 3 piece wheels by Rotiform. Penta PNT style wheels, not my car.
