Had some fun last week on the Autobahn with a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti :bannana:

From around 80mph he decided to throw the gauntlet and off we went.......
at around 180mph he started to slow with his acceleration and kindly let me breeze on by but I kept side by side up to 198mph and that was when his limiter must of kicked in :dk: as I slowly pulled away.

£200k supercar vs £20k MSL Beast :D

Something very satisfying about sticking it to the man in a car worth bugger all (in the scheme of the cars you are up against that is).

Must have been disappointing for the bloke with the spaghetti.

He was a fairly ageing chap but got to hand it to him and his car.......when he floored it I was very surprised at the acceleration, I was lucky that I was in his slipstream or I think he would have edged me.

Very satisfying :)

Are you referring to the Merc or the Ferrari? :D

Had a similar incident whilst in Dubai in my brother in law's Bentley Continental last week.

A Ferrari drew alongside, gave it the beans then slowed and looked across waiting for the thumbs up to race. Fortunately I guess as my 2yr old grandson was in the back, we declined, but it would have been fun.

I'm sure you now can shred him even when accelerating!;)

Too much willy-waving for me; I would have expected this thread posted in the Inbetweeners - sorry, AMG - section, where you know what you are likely to get...

Yeah, what's with all these car enthusiasts enjoying their performance cars and then sharing the experience with fellow car enthusiasts on a car enthusiasts forum?

What is the world coming to?

I mean what the hell is going on??

Old people mate, they get grumpy as they get older and start complaining about everything.

Strange as this is posted in the "Driving/Incidents/Roadrage section.....

I take it you don't like willy-waving :dk:

You're correct in that. Less is more; I don't care for boasting. It's an old-fashioned view, perhaps, but I take it.

The title suggested a thread about the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, but it wasn't. Your car may be the absolute dog's b******s; good for you, and I have no problem with that, but I, like I suspect the majority of people of people on this forum, don't really give a stuff about tuned cars, but don't particularly care for tales of derring-do/willy-waving. Most of those who do, and do, will be found in the AMG section, which is why I suggested that might have been the most appropriate place for the story.

Mind you, I suppose you might have induced a degree of road rage in the Ferrari driver, and you WERE driving, and I suppose it COULD be described as an 'incident'....

Oh, and Rashman, if you read my post again, you might think that I was suggesting posting this sort of thread in another part of the forum, not that it should not be posted.;)

Luckily it's not for you to decide what post goes in what section so lucky for us, we are free to post what we like, when we like and where we see fit :)

Whether people like or dislike tuned cars is not my concern and shouldn't really be the topic of condemning those that do try and push the boundaries and enjoy a little banter on the Autobahn with an Italian "Supercar"

Thanks for your input though......much appreciated

I'm pleased to hear that you appreciate my input.:D I'll be happy to let you have it again if the need arises.

All input whether a complete load of $hite written for pointless reasons  or well written posts with productive or helpful advice clearly welcome on any forum

I will bear your kind & voluntary help in the future, if it ever arises

Have we been visited by Her Majesty's incorrect spelling, thread titling and not-posting-something-they-don't-agree-with police force?

Uh huh...
