Finally after 7 months wait - C220 in Diamand Silver

Thanks you all.

I get to change my car every 2 years as this is a company car.

My company uses Leaseplan and has a policy that cars have to be built to order. I must have had about 7 cars so far ordered through Leaseplan and the wait is usually about 4 to 5 months. This stretched a little longer so ended keeping my 520d for 27 months which I didn't mind as the BMW was very nice.

On the 220d, I have had to book into the garage for a rattle which seems to be coming from the rear parcels shelf at certain speeds and road condition. Very annoying.

Also I thought the seat belt was supposed to hug me? Which it doesn't, don't know if it's a setting I need to toggle.

And I don't see the album art cover when playing Spotify. I'm using BT as using the iPhone lead isn't recognised by the car.

Other then that it's a fantastic car

That's interesting, how do you find it compares to your 5 series?

Previous car was a 520d with M sport package which made it look very fast - even though it wasn't !

I had opted for 19 inch wheels on the BMW which may be one of the reasons the C220d feels so much smoother especially on rough surfaces.

The info entertainment system on the BMW is way more intuitive and slicker than the Merc. I think this is one area that lets the Merc down. Actually both Audi and BMW are way ahead of the game here.

I also found the 520d to large a car for my requirements the c220d feels just right. I've always had A4s or 3 series but decided on a larger car as there is very little difference in cost to me.

Lastly and surprisingly the c220d handles better than the 520d around corners. I've only had it a few days and haven't had the chance to drive through some of my favourate country roads so can't be sure but so far smooth ride and great handling.

is there a significant difference between iridium and diamond ? Always hard to gauge from a picture.

Diamond silver is more blue.

The belt hugging feature should be on as default.
Unless the dealer set it to hug for me.

There's a set up menu to turn it on and off

So is illegal...... (and immoral if you consider the carp it's now chucking out of its pipes)
Prefer a proper V6 = petrol

For the OP,

nice to have a new car!

Enjoy two years of hassle free motoring

Ps mine's silver aswell
