Finally got me a W211 E63

And i am very happy , fsh with good spec and has had the resonator delete done already !!!
I am debating getting secondary cat delete , K+N filters en route already.
Also thinking of changing the grill to one with the star in it.
Managed 30 mpg over 200 miles , that was including some 'heavy' right foot moments lol.

For a bit of fun I tried really really hard between two motorway junctions for 50 miles, with a constant 56mph, anticipating every junction to avoid slowing/speeding up...


and got 30mpg.

I'd not do the star grille thang - you'll ruin it's look IMO.

I contemplated it on the more angular 212, but on a 211 I think you'll lose that timeless look.

That was doing 65-80 , then a little faster on some private roads.

I wouldn't do the star thing, chavvy on the E class also your car will probably fail MOT if you do a secondary cat delete.

I'd leave it, just probably give it a EC remap & change the wheels.

Don't put a big star grille on a W211, it'll look terrible.

There was a post not so long ago which seemed to highlight that no one had yet failed an MOT from a secondary CAT delete.

Primaries is a different story mind.
