Forged wheels

Very nice...Worth the hassle!!! Get them on so we can see what they look like on the car!!!!

Hey bud :thumb:

Yes, definitely worth the wait

I'll get them on the car as soon as I have received the replacement wheel bolts.

They should arrive in the post tomorrow.

Until then, I will give them a wipe down and wax them.

Properly machined, aluminium centre caps.

Centre caps are given the same finish as the wheels faces.

Been looking over the wheels at lunch.

They really are pretty damn nice.
Impressive too.

They become more impressive the closer you get to them.
The detail is amazing.
The sharp machined edges, the flawlessness across the lips & faces, the neatly designed bolts (hidden on the inside of the rim and not on the outside - which is a nice touch), the clever valve designs and the neat work with the clear coat and paint on the inner barrels.

Finished off with nice little BC dust caps and carefully machined, matching centre caps.

Very impressed.

Gotta hand it to the guys at Projex too.
One of my fears was getting the tyres fitted without harming the rims.
They didn't this without any issues.

Very happy with James' willingness to send me a variety of wheels bolts so that I can get the wheels on suitably & safely.
He'll be posting them by next-day-delivery too, so I should have them tomorrow, enabling me to get the wheels on without too much delay.

The one last thing I am nervous about is seeing if the rear wheels will go on without any rubbing

Although I down-sized to a 265 instead of a 275, they're still pretty bloody wide

I'll just have to see how I go.

First stop tonight, is Halfords to get some sticky felt for the necks of the bolts that are arriving tomorrow. That'll protect the lug holes of the wheels.

Then I'll clean the wheels down before hitting them with a few layers of wax.

Then its just a case of waiting for the bolts to arrive tomorrow.

Rash, really happy for you that you finally got them and all things worked out well between you and projex! :thumb:

The wheels look great mate and can't wait to see them on your car! Concave is the way to go

Hahaha.. I hear you bud :D
I got a few more grey hairs during the process too  :D

Yes, I'm very pleased with the wheels and the guys at Projex really did pull through. Very appreciative of James' extra efforts with the wheels bolts too.

Finally, the wheels are indoors, awaiting wax.

I am hoping to test fit the wheels tomorrow, so I will post up more pics asap.

I've always had dishes on my wheels. These are the first concave design I've had and I'm loving them so far. Although these BC wheels also incorporate a dish too, which is nice.
Very excited to see what they look like on the car.

I reckon the big discs and calipers will set them off a treat!

Ok, so I've just finished cleaning down the wheels and waxing them

My OCD is really not impressed with my choice of wheel

There are some really fiddly areas around the tips of the spokes...
You'd think they'd be easier to clean because they have less spokes... but in fact, they will probably take longer! doh!

Anyway,

Having spend a few hours cleaning them up, I've had a chance to have a proper good look at them.

I have to say that I really am very impressed with the quality of them.

They have no imperfections whatsoever.. NONE!:rock:

Usually when you get new wheels, there are the odd imperfection here and there. A pit, a blemish etc.

But these wheels are spotless! Not a blemish or imperfection anywhere! I even tried looking for one, just out of principle, but I couldn't find one! lol

I really like the centre caps too. Properly machined aluminum. A very nice touch and not just an after-thought. They are deisgned well too. Not your normal plastic caps with nasty metal coils or plastic clips to hold them in place that end up scratching the centre holes on the rims. They have rubber seals that gentle slot into place, holding them firmly. No scratching, no stress. Awesome.

So the wheels are all cleaned and waxed. Just need the new bolts which should arrive tomorrow.

Took a few more pictures as I was cleaning them.

Will take more when I fit them to the car.

Have to say.. I'm pretty nervous about the rears. Part of me thinks I'm going to have an issue with rubbing.

But the guys at Projex assured me that they will fit with no problems.

They were even confident enough to state that the wheels and tyres will fit without ANY need for body/ arch modifications.

really hope they are right.
I've been feverishly doing the calculations regarding the offsets, wheel widths etc.
I reckon it's going to be close - with mere mm's in it

Moment of truth should be tomorrow.
