Formula 1 2020 (Will Contain Race Day Spoilers)

Well I watched todays race thinking that we would get a scrap at the front, and nothing happened,Red Bull had the wick turned up and Mercedes had a lower setting, there was plebty of passing and re-passing in the middle order, but not a great race to watch,I see that 23 races are penciled in for next year ,I doubt all will happen,,I agree that if M V had finished a few more races he would have been second.

Really surprised Mercedes have not pressed Lewis to sign on the dotted line.

Equally I would be very surprised if he walked away, I'd think he will certainly want to go for another title to set the record.

Surely he must want to set a new record while he still can. Who wouldn’t?

Whether ham or rea or anybody else deserves a knighthood and the criteria required are out of our hands and your comments are more about that than racing. Why not mention dyson, green, ratcliffe in your rant re tax evasion and while your at it mention builders that ask for cash payments and many others that use tax law to reduce/avoid their liability including high st names and politicians with multiple financial interests, also the money laundering city of london financial theives.
Anyway should be a good race and a chance to see some overtaking and strategy at play :) ... has Merc sorted their pitstops
I dont know any builders that have received a knighthood 😇

Sign a 3 year like Merc want and then resign after a year. He’s got plenty of dough to get some decent lawyers in.
Ya know, he may have already thought of that. ☺️

Nico got away with it, don't see why Lewis can't. Plus, they have George waiting in the background anyway.

Lewis is hoping to have it done before Christmas. Toto doesn't think there will be any problem with Lewis signing a new contract. Mercedes have already entered the team and Lewis in their draft entry for 2021

Few bits of news.

Renault Sport President steps down at the end of the year

Nothing confirmed yet, and not sure how I feel about this if it becomes reality.

While I would be very pleased to see Sergio in the Red Bull, Albon could feel he was let down. Unfortunately, he has made too many errors this season and never really been of any help to Verstappen in the races. But he is fast and should still have a future in F1 in 2022.

I think Perez will push Verstappen far harder and even take points off him in some races once he has got used to the car.

Perez says he already had a drive for 2022. His Red Bull seat may well be just for 2021 then Albon could have the Red Bull back?

Trouble is there are a lot of 'good' drivers, but whats needed to beat ham/merc is a 'great' driver/team. Ver still needs to mature, speed without experience is not the best recipe and rb still need to sort 2021 engine out, still hope for 'lec' if Ferrari can get their act together and he stops being 'stupid' ( his words ) . I think most teams are already thinking 2021 will be repeat of 2020 and are planning for reg changes 2022. Lets hope someone steps up to the plate, the new kids are looking rich and flaky, mazepin especially has bad attitude and will add to a crazy mid field, his dad is rumoured to be interested in buying haas as he missed out on 'racing point' in the fight of the billionaires.
Roll on 2021 🏁 ... after a nice Christmas of course 👍

Few rumours flying around. One is the one posted above (Perez being confirmed at Red Bull for a year), another is that Albon will be reserve driver to keep him in the team. A third is that they could even share driving duties which seems pretty desperate. Perez does deserve the seat (or a seat) in 2021 and it does seem he will use it as a stepping stone until 2022

Now that will be interesting.
It will be.

Let us see if Perez can improve with a better-funded team providing him with a faster and more advanced car to drive or, had he reached the limits of his undoubted talent with his last team?

I hope he does well and enjoys the opportunity, he will certainly be more of a challenge for Verstappen
