Formula 1 2020 (Will Contain Race Day Spoilers)

Where does Sir Philip Green live again? In terms of sportsmen/ women getting knighthoods many have been honoured for a fraction of what LH has achieved in his sport. Never mind there's always the first Olympic break dancing knighthood to look forward to.
I remember Sir Phil was listed 'of no fixed abode' during one legal wrangle as he lived on his yachts which were not 'fixed' , I might be wrong but it's just his wife who is a Monaco resident. Also I believe Sir Richard of the Branson was not allowed to vote Remain because he was not a UK resident , he was knighted in 2000 but has listed Necker Island as his residence for some time now.

Nice work if you can get it, but whatever we think of them , at some point they have both created (and taken away ?) jobs for many in the UK . You could say the same about LH, but I doubt if MB/Petronas/Daimler would have employed less people in the UK had both their drivers been non Brits.

Our own Boris Johnson was a US citizen (dual) up until 2016 and probably still would be if the US taxman had not come after him. If he had not renounced his US citizenship he would not have been able to become prime minister ....🤔

I must have grown out of that habit 😂

Unlike you...
No Greenman, you have not grown out of that habit, oh and please feel free to keep up with the personal attacks.

I tend to be quite old= fashioned and a man of my word, I say what I mean and mean what I say but hopefully I never get personal.
Someone who holds such views (Black Lives on't Matter) is not someone i want to talk to - bye!
Could you please carry on ignoring me instead of the churlish and very immature personal attacks?

For the information of the whole world, I dared to suggest that ALL lives matter, this has now caused these churlish, personal attacks.

Greenman, I will hopefully never reply like for like. If we cannot say anything nice about our fellow forum members then sometimes it might be better to say indeed say..... 'bye'

STRAIGHT----- lasts longer and due its position at the Silverstone pits /start/finish will be referred to more often
i get your logic ... but what about iconic 'druids' , 'eu rouge' 'parabolica' 'rascasse' 'swimming pool' ... I'm thinking a corner.

race is getting zzzzzzzzzzzz ... ver well out in front and might need another pit stop .. then

If we want the likes of Lewis Hamilton et al to reside in the UK, we should adopt a more attractive (and fairer) taxation system. In other words, it should be more cost effective to live here and pay taxes than it is to hire tax accountants and live in Monaco. But that’s waaay outside the remit of this thread.

Bit difficult to apply the same taxation as Monaco.

However a solution would maybe be take some bits of the US way of doing things which is to require citizens to still be under UK personal tax jurisdiction to some extent even if abroad. Though that brings other US style baggage with it.

Make your mind up! 😂😂😂😂

I will comment on your out of date, ill informed and unsupported opinions if I like.

Doesn’t have to be the same as Monaco, just less punitive than it is now and cheaper than having to hire people to find ways around it.

Congratulations to McLaren for P3 in the constructor's championship! I know Sainz is under investigation but he shouldn't get anything that would take that away from them.

Heart breaking for Perez, he deserved better in his last race (for now)

I think P3 for McLaren is a pretty good result.

They must be very pleased, the pink cars will be peeved and as for Williams.....
