I remember Sir Phil was listed 'of no fixed abode' during one legal wrangle as he lived on his yachts which were not 'fixed' , I might be wrong but it's just his wife who is a Monaco resident. Also I believe Sir Richard of the Branson was not allowed to vote Remain because he was not a UK resident , he was knighted in 2000 but has listed Necker Island as his residence for some time now.Where does Sir Philip Green live again? In terms of sportsmen/ women getting knighthoods many have been honoured for a fraction of what LH has achieved in his sport. Never mind there's always the first Olympic break dancing knighthood to look forward to.
No Greenman, you have not grown out of that habit, oh and please feel free to keep up with the personal attacks.I must have grown out of that habit
Unlike you...
Could you please carry on ignoring me instead of the churlish and very immature personal attacks?Someone who holds such views (Black Lives on't Matter) is not someone i want to talk to - bye!
STRAIGHT----- lasts longer and due its position at the Silverstone pits /start/finish will be referred to more oftenwould you prefer a 'straight' or a 'corner' named after you ...
i get your logic ... but what about iconic 'druids' , 'eu rouge' 'parabolica' 'rascasse' 'swimming pool' ... I'm thinking a corner.STRAIGHT----- lasts longer and due its position at the Silverstone pits /start/finish will be referred to more often
If we want the likes of Lewis Hamilton et al to reside in the UK, we should adopt a more attractive (and fairer) taxation system. In other words, it should be more cost effective to live here and pay taxes than it is to hire tax accountants and live in Monaco. But that’s waaay outside the remit of this thread.

thats more boring than the race ...Bit difficult to apply the same taxation as Monaco.
However a solution would maybe be take some bits of the US way of doing things which is to require citizens to still be under UK personal tax jurisdiction to some extent even if abroad. Though that brings other US style baggage with it.
Doesn’t have to be the same as Monaco, just less punitive than it is now and cheaper than having to hire people to find ways around it.Bit difficult to apply the same taxation as Monaco.

Indeed, and that should be difficult but today‘s soirée has been pretty dull with just a few laps to go.thats more boring than the race ...
I really don’t care Pat. P3 (hopefully ) for McLaren. Great achievement given their last few years.Well what an anti climax, boring after Lap 1.
My McLaren-Mercedes t-shirts will be current againMerc power in 96 days time.
Haha. Yeah, and the mugs, caps, flags etc. Just need to get Vodafone back on board. My McLaren-Mercedes t-shirts will be current again
Yeah, just saying that. All that money spent and not a single point to show for it. Must be demoralising for the whole team............and as for Williams.....
