2018 Team Flight Data

With some of the race team crew returning from Abu Dhabi I have now completed my flight spreadsheet for the year. The teams clock up some air miles!
For 2018 the distance travels including the Barcelona Test was 121,526 miles which is shy of 4.9 times the equator. Flight time (aircraft door closed to open) 243 hours 25 minutes.

Yes, They can certainly clock up some time in the air!
25 years ago I was working for Toyota and doing regular trips to Japan alongside the World sports car championship and things like tests in Australia.....
one year I spent over 2 weeks of my year above 35,000 ft....that's over 330 hours
I really enjoy being at home now
