Found a cheap tyre supplier

Sounds like tyres come from Germany (I've bought from Germany loads of times without issues).

Some of the pricing looks fab. Just need to factor in local fitting costs.

example: Goodyear Eagle 2 @ £70.69 (free delivery) - compared to locally fitted best price £119 where I am..

Yes a few times and all good, the problem is fitters know this and charge more then to fit them, like £15 - 20 each min, its still cheaper and I will still use them

Bought a couple of rear tyres for my SL55 from Tyreleader. Far cheaper than anywhere else. Tyres came from Germany and was able to monitor their progress all the way.

Just got some delivered this morning as it happens.

Four winter ones for the Jeep to replace the ones which had perished and started to split in between the tread blocks (with 6mm tread).

Excellent service, ordered Sunday and delivered today before lunch. Fitted and balanced for a tenner a corner which worked out cheaper than I could have got them for round here. By nearly £20 a wheel.

Tyres can be sold as new for up to 6 years from manufacture date (as stamped on the side wall wwyy).

But how do you know they sell old stock as a rule? If you bought a set of tyres from them, it may have been a one off?

If you click on the info link for the tyre, it has DOT 2010 etc I'm guessing that's the date of manufacture ?

No, that's the US regulation it meets.

The date of manufacture is a 4-digit number - e.g. 4013 - meaning the tyre was made on the 40th week of 2013, i.e. in early October 2013.

I bought Nokian All Weather Plus for about £400 delivered, then £12 a corner to fit.
