The Alpine isn't an original Mercedes Benz unit... looks like one of the previous owners swapped the original radio with an after market unit. I think you should try on Alpine audio forums.

Hi , can you help me with becker audio 10 , unlock code ? SN: 32968912 tanks in advance if it possible.

MG Sorry my friend , only site i knew , and used, is no longer operating any more ..you need to try the dealers thats if the radio is still the original one . If it is original they will have the radio code . Or use a site that you pay for the code .The forum dont like codes posting in case the radio was stolen

To be accurate, the radio does not need to be original from the factory to that car. If the radio was original for any Mercedes or an original spare part, the Mercedes database covers the security code. It just is much more simple if the radio is original from the factory to the car in question.

Mine stoped working , so I bought that for 20€ from the scrap yard. But there wasn't a code in the glove box. Only the manual was there . I don't have the vin because the car is gone already (I bought it last summer) . I was in the mercedes dealership, but the guy said he need the vin. Anyway, thank you. I will go to dealership again.

You seemed to have a Becker radio, code calculators would exist for it, just need to find the correct one.

Simpler if your dealer knows how to use their tools and services, not all do or are too lazy to help.

I know for a fact,, if the Becker radio was not fitted in the car from new , then Mercedes dealers will not bother. Because i gave them a try some time ago. So even if you get lucky and you find that they are helpfull , dealers parts depot will need the vin number of the car the that radio came from in the first place .

That is average behaviour. You cannot say this is a fact only if one dealer is lazy, even if many of them are lazy.

If you get good service and the person has credentials to VeDoc, they can find the security code with the radio serial number only, no need for the VIN. Think of a spare part radio, the dealer needs to be able to help the customer if/when the customer loses the code label.

Quick off the mark . Nothing to do with my behaviour . I come on the forum to help others if i can .
Can you help or not ? Can you sort out the radio code . My post 188 was as i see it .And the older tha car the less help you get from any MB dealers .

I was not referring to your behaviour but the typical behaviour of an MB garage! Sorry if I was not clear.

I agree the workshop is less willing to help with older cars, I already "blamed" them being lazy. I just wanted to stress that the workshop has the necessary info available if they just want to serve the customer. You actually did not claim they cannot help, just that they don't bother, agreed again.

And yes, I know how to get the code but in the case of a Becker radio, not much help needed.

Point taken .Lets hope poster gets a code for his Becker radio , one way or another .
I never drove on the road without my radio playing . And at the time a radio was all you could buy to fit in to the car then . Cars never had them from new, it was a nice extra to fit a radio of your choice . Now days its very rare that i use my ice .
