I take it that the "from start" fuel consumption resets when you park up and switch off. Although today I've noticed two things:

1 The from start is not resetting when I've switched off, locked up and left the car.

2. The parking (foot) brake does not seem to be "clicking" as it usually does, as if there is no ratchet.

Could these two things be linked?

1. The "From Start" stays active for around four hours after switch off, so a pitstop for fuel and a bite still register as all one journey. You can reset it with the reset button to the left of the instruments while it's displayed, just press and hold.

2. No.

It only automatically resets if the car has been off for 4hrs.

What he said ^^

Or you can reset it manually should you wish.

The lack of ratchet, provided the parking brake is still functioning will just be a little plastic clip which is only a couple of quid from MB. They are a common problem and keep them on the shelf....the parts guys will know exactly what you mean. It is a 5 minute job to swap it.
