Fuel leak E300td 99 HELP PLEASE

I have the above car its i italy at the moment, but i have developed a fuel leak, only dripping ,my gues its on the return side. I have located it . I removed the washer tanks to make life easier the drip seems to be cooming from the top end of the fuel injection pump, but there is a block attached to it where 3 pipes attach, one underneath a very small pipe, but all i can see is the drip comming from maybe the join between the block and fuel injection pump. has anyone had this before! what is this block and is there a gasket between it that i can change. has anyone had anything like this before! I will be happy for all suggestions many thanks

I think you mean the shutoff valve. As mentioned in the other thread, replace the o-ring between the pump and the valve:

Well i will be dammed yes this is it, wow i cant beleave it . thanks, I take it its straight forward 2 hex bolts, do the piupes come off easy!!!!!!!

Pipes are removed by pushing the horseshoe clips in to release the clamp on each pipe. The lines may be stiff and need working out. The 2 bolts are torx, I can't remember the size.

If your pipes are old and deep orange in colour, it may be worthwhile replacing them as moving them around will disturb the seals - although I believe it is possible to buy replacement o-rings (they fit in the lines) from Mercedes, which is cheaper.

As you can see from the picture I still have one or two leaks, but nothing bad enough to drip underneath the car so I've left it for now!
