My 1/4 mile terminal speed seems low- I'll do it again when my G tech returns!

Well, yesterday Grav took his car to the weigh bridge and to his horror discover that the 50 magnet in his boot had taken his car nearly beyound the maximum load for the car-

If Grav had turned over 25 of the magnets so that they were opposing each other, then perhaps that would have halved the weight?

What an interesting thread that completely lost me at times with the maths?? The bottom line is surely this is a bit of fun that is also of interest?

Has anyone with a 320CDI joined in the fun?

Hmmm, I'm intrigued.....I was taught (and checked with the F1 pater):

HP = Torque(ft/lb) * RPM / 5252

The unit gets RPM via the ciggie socket, where does it get the torque value from? Assume it's via the acceleration values, but linear vs angular......nah, waaaayyyy too late (or is it early) to dredge up the physics....

Just interested in how it works......have fun
