Several things spring to mind. i had more than normal tyre pressures. as it was cool this would not have help traction. and as you say, it may have needed to be run faster. I am sure i read in the instructions that you have to be either above 130mph or below 30mph for it to get a readind. and we did guesstimate the weight based on our known weights and the cars kerb wieght. we had input around 1616kg whatever that was in pounds. that may have adjusted the figures somewhat.
My view is that if people what the most accurate record of HP they definatly need to get the car weight measured so they can at least be fully assured it represents a known test weight.
Now i have looked at it,it isnt far off what i would expect.
