I wonder if I've done something wrong coz that doesn't make sense - unless G's 0 - 60 on his 1/4 wasn't too great. His terminal was faster than mine so as his 0-60 is normally faster too then I would have thought his overall 1/4 would have been quicker also. Or am I just being blonde?

No but his car was at its maximum weight due to several tonnes of magnets in the boot..................

It's possible that your car accellerates more quickly midrange and starts to slow off as the speed builds due to wind resistance which then gives you a slower terminal speed.

What are the drag coefficients of the SLK v's the E.
I think the E is 0.28. The longer body may well help here as it streamlines the shape.

Thanks Pammy and Scumbag. G tech safely back to base. I'll redo my figures next because my 1/4 mile and terminal speed need more commitment.

Then we'll get some more cars done!

Ok. I've just redone my 0-60 and 1/4 mile figures. The 0-60 was 8.3 (best 8.2 ever) and the 1/4 mile was 16.5 secs and 78mph which are slight improvements. I'll update the table.

Thanks mate. Might have a go at the bearing tomorrow if I can get the parts, but I have the 190E in pieces at the moment too. 2 new spheres turned up today, so it shouldn't be too long now, just need an exhaust manifold, then sell it.

I redid my power today. Different place, time, weather and the result you guessed it 160rwhp. So I guess thats what it is!
