gauging a goodwood trackday interest

Any of you guys interested in a cars and coffee meet at the Old Orchard pub in Harefield on the 25th June 11-2pm? Car meet up and BBQ? Great cars, view and food. Looking forward to the 18th by the way. I watched the lap record run from last year on YouTube that track looks crazy fast and scary as hell.

I am away on the 25th J.

Look forward to seeing you on the 18th.

LOL:p I believe its reputed to be one of the fastest circuits in the UK, but in all my attendances, there's, only been a few mishaps, a guy in a virtually brand new Maserati on the first lap is a big memory, never saw the car again, however it's well marshalled circuit, but downside is, very little run off, mainly grass but not vast area's, but if its dry a great track, you'll have fun:D. look forward to meeting you.

I have had new belts, tensioners, turbo and pipework so I am hopeful of more than the 4 laps I had all day last time!

Just a month to go...

S

Good to hear Simon, glad it all got sorted, hopefully we will both get a bit more track time, and great that a few of the other guys we know are coming to play. Wondering weather Lagerlout will bring 'Spike' or the BS, will be fun either way.:p

Was at goodwood today for a lotus on track day .
Blimey you need balls of steel on the back straight . Great track though just need to work on my line into turn 1 .
Couple of pics from the day

Never had a problem with that - just need to adjust the braking point to suit your setup.

Fordwater, on the other hand - that needs cojones... :)

Cheers,

Gaz

It's a great track. The back straight is quick but ford water is the one were you need to take breath and commit as you can really take tat corner at some speed.

Glad you enjoyed it.

What does a track day at Goodwood cost?

I used to race a little when I was (a lot!) younger and this sounds fun.

Do people mind if you're taking it easy around the circuit as long as you don't get in the way?

Apologies, read the thread and I can see it's £330 for the day which seems reasonable.

Are people welcome to pop along and watch to see how everything works? It seems a logical thing to do having never been on one of these days before.

Yes just come down we have a number of spectators on the 18th.

I know it's not tomorrow, but really looking forward to the following Saturday, lots to look forward to, guys I have not seen for ages, a few new faces to meet, a few guys whom I see more often to greet and enjoy their company again along with the others, and then also to enjoy AceJ and Bengy, LOL, tearing up the track, last time these two were at it with their GTS and R8, all great fun, hoping for a dry day, think we have 17-18 of us hijacking this GW day, and a great array of cars, going to be fun:bannana:

Cars currently on the drive with flat battery mate, not driven it for 6 weeks!, but have Sunday off to get it started and get it prepped, so will be good to go next Saturday, yourself, Bengy, Simon, Sean, Colin, Neil, Matty, Jay, plus a few others coming along to play, and think a few forum guys coming to watch, so yes going to be a full on day of driving and chatting, LOL! these days just past by so quickly.
What new rubber have you fitted, OEM, or swapped out to something new? does H know this? :D
