Gear Selector Light On Rl 129 Sl

Hello,

I have a 1991 SL, i need to replace the gear selector bulbs so that i can see what gear i am in when its dark. I didnt think it would be difficult but i have removed the plastic surround and the sport/economy slider but cant get any further, how does do you get to the bublb which i guess is below the selector plastics?

the wood center panel just lifts out by undoing the screws in the armrest and working forward

i will give it a try tomorow, regarding my instrument cluster, www.bba-reman.co.uk or com, they can repair for £175+vat, what do you think? Have you heard of them? I am going to phone you re sometithing i've seen on ebay, need advice.....

Yes they are a huge outfit also in the USA. I suppose that price is OK.

I have since found out that a certain cap kills the fuel gauge but am still unsure on the rev counter.
