Well after just over 8 years on this forum its time to go, a number of reasons which I wont share. I was one of the original 5-6 people first on this forum and it has grown and grown.

What does sadden me though is the number of genuine people we have lost, Even the people I joined with, we dont see much anymore..

Might have missed somethin here. But if its to do with something thats been said I thought this was an open forum i.e. everyones thoughts are welcome.
If the posts upset someone, tough. We're all big boys (n' girls) here.
Sometimes we may bitch and moan at each other but the point of the forum surely is that we are joined in our appreciation of our marque of choice?

Please don't leave BaldGuy. The old school folk who i remember and respect such as yourself from way back are getting thin on the ground now mate!
The site needs peeps like you to to help keep the forum what it is mate.

I know exactly where your coming from. As well as being an old hand here i am also an old hand over on the 190 forum and have been so since it was born and have seen the place change so much over the years. I am now an admin over there!! Forums morph and change as they grow. What was once acceptable is no longer so as the forums grow, attitudes change over the years, etc etc.

What i have realised is that we simply have to morph and grow with the forums. What was once a small cosy place is now a massive multinational meeting zone and some things just may not be as acceptable as much as they once were as sad as that may be

The mods and admin now have so much more work to do as opposed to back in the early noughties. I can assure you it aint an easy job mate. And we/they all do it for free simply out of the love of the marque.

OK sorry, i went off the track a bit there

All im trying to say is, don't go BaldGuy simply because of some moderation. im sure all the mod and admin team would hate to see you leave just as much as all of us would mate.

Lots have changed over the last year or so, I rarely post anymore. Some of the recent threads do remind me of the Cliosport forum I frequented in my 20's, however that was a long time ago.

Morning Simon.
You are another guy whom I have never met but enjoy your posts. I always read your posts - I have a built in system that will always read posts from what I call interesting members. I sort of look look down all the posts of the day and open the ones from my list of quality people, then I go back and do the rest, well most of them.
Bit like a box of chocolates really.
One of my favourite chocolates has just left, trouble was he had the fancy paper wrapped round him.
Like Whispa, perhaps he will come back. I hope so.

I have seen that clip and thought it was hilarious. At the end of the day any person of any age with access to YouTube will be able to watch far worse.

This site is very strictly moderated compared to others. Whether that is a good or bad thing only you can decide.

There is always boxa.net for banter, even if you don't own a Porsche!

I'm very new to the forum Baldguy. However, I can see when someone has a valid point to make or an interesting story to tell. There are a few people on here who hold my attention. You are one of those people. As a relative newbie, I think it is sad that the originators are leaving. I am 54 and like sharing and often enjoy the views of all ages, but sometimes I just want wisdom. I have not met you, but urge you to reconsider.

Bladguy, I hope you re-think and decide to stay. Overall, this is a good, fun forum, actually one of the better ones I've been a member of. We've never met (although I met your car at Ollies!! ) but like others, I always read and enjoy your posts. As a mod of a forum myself, I also understand the tough job of moderating a group of members and their posts. It's not easy and sometimes mods do make mistakes. I never saw the offending post (as my connection In Russia is very sporadic) but I'm sure a possible wrong moderating decision can be forgiven!

OK, that's my speech over, please think about staying!

I'm still here! I dont post that much now mainly due to work, but I still visit the forum every 2 days or so.
