I was down in Ayr this morning and , driving along Heathfield Rd , was shocked to discover that Glen Hendersons is no more - the premises are now occupied by Border Cars , Mazda dealers .
I know Glen was pretty old ( must have been in his 80's ) and can only presume he has retired .
GH were an official dealer before the shake up ; after MB opened another dealership in Ayr , he remained as an approved workshop as well as selling used cars and , I think , new ones sourced elsewhere .
The workshop was one of the best in Scotland , and the parts dept was very good with many parts held in stock for older models .
