Goodwood Trackday 2013

If someone wants to just nail a date, as long as I'm not overseas on holiday I should be fine to attend. Can we take a quick vote on the date?

There's not alot to choose from as it stands, unless Goodwood release's additional date's over and above that the have given Simon.
30th March, thats probaly getting booked up.
2nd April, need a race license for that date, so thats out.
24th August and 21st September do able, but long way off and potentially clash with the Brighton day.
Then November and December, I don't believe there will be alot of the guys up for those dates, moreso, as the eve appeal day is around that time as already raised.
Bar the November and December dates,I will happily go on any of the date's myself, The March date is not too appealing to me personally either, as other events not far away to play at. This said if there was a group for the March date I would go, but would be concerned to how many places left, at least its a Saturday.

To be honest I think all the dates are shyate.

With the Brighton day in late July/August and the Eve day in December, none of the currently available dates really attract me. I was hoping they release another date over the next month.

But saying that, if the group is prepared to jump in on a date I will come - except for the September date which I cannot make.

Just spoke with Goodwood regards the March 30th date, £320 and 105DB day, they currently have 19 spaces.

Not too sure who is wanting to go on that date????.

In regards taking a whole day Simon, little risky I would have thought, even allowing for all the currently interested guys we have all going, we would still have to recruit 10-12 more. And allowing for dates clashing with holidays/work etc, think we would lose at least 20-30% of the interested parties anyway. The guys just need to pick a date from the limited selection we have, and vote accordingly, or we wait and see if any other dates appear, but risk the short notice, and to whom is then able to come along.

Given Lagerlout and Simons comments regards getting a exclucive date for what seems to be the most favoured date, Goodwood 1st June (if still available to us), who amonst the guys here voicing interest are actually wanting to do this, I am wanting to know who is prepared to pay now for the date, to see how much money we can raise, and numbers, to see if this can go anywhere regards Lagerlout's suggestion.
To hire the track for the day as Simon's original post is about £8K Initially there is a deposit to be paid to Goodwood to secure the date, not 100% but think its around £2K, then balance is due 4 weeks before date. The liability of defaulting from the event, is the loss of the deposit, and defaulting closer to the event, may render the booking person responsible for the remaining balance.
I have started a list of the people that have voiced interest for this June 1st date, please add your name if interested in this event and prepared to pay now.

Neil, We have the weekend to ponder this, as GW booking office will be closed anyway, lets see what the other guys comments on over the weekend, and to numbers interested, I have Monday off, and will call Goodwood and get the exact details so we all know where we stand, and I will report back.
