Goodwood Trackday 2013

Looks like I'm out this time :(. Too many outgoings this month, plus I spent waaaay too much on a watch before Christmas and the toy fund needs to recover a bit :o.

I'll pop down and say hello if I can, though I don't know what Mrs. Gaz has planned for the Easter weekend?

Hopefully we'll get another chance to do Goodwood later on in the year, Ricky if you're invited to the Brighton AMG one again perhaps you could put a word in for me with Andy Melbert?

Anyway, enjoy the day guys and keep off the grass!

Cheers,

Gaz

Will do mate.

Looks like August for me too. Fingers crossed for an invite to the brighton day now that Andy has my details.

Not long now if any last minute takers want to join us....

Hope it gets warmer in the next few weeks!

9th of May!

Afraid not, Saturday 30th March this time round. Some of us will be at a invite day in July/August time and a few of us also go on a charity day in November, all held at Goodwood, we may also fit another odd day in, but it will be at short notice and will be a 'Godwood' day, with us joining in their event, as the 30th is.

Still aiming to join you guys down there if the weather is good :thumb:

If so, I should be meeting up with Paul (MrPoseidon) and driving down in convoy.
A friend of mine may join us in his R34 if he is free.

It's a decent enough drive down there, so if any of you are free, it'd be good to get a few of us together.

I am looking at a couple of trackdays at Brands Hatch in the summer. They do novice days which have group track sessions like GW and also road car track days which is an open pitlane but they discourage the looney toons from going. Theyre not that expensive either, within the GW budget.

Just a thought.

Ricky, Simon, are you guys still going on Saturday?

I'm still keen to join you.
Just need to assess the conditions nearer the time.

Mr Poseidon is also keen to come down.
My friend Lee should also be with us if the weather is good.

Hi Rash,

Yes we are - weather may be pretty poor though.....

We can speak later in the week re: whether we drive in convoy if if you want a lift down.

Would be good to have you along - 4 spaces left if you want to give the Alfa a workout!

I may be able to do this day as well now but as Simon says, the weather's not looking good so may have to be the diesel (again)!

The forecast, for what its worth, is bloody freezing, but dry, the most important factor!

Hopefully Simon and myself will see a couple of you guys down there, wrap up warm.
Will be interesting to see what other cars turn up.

Hey bud :thumb:

Lol.. It would probably kill the Alfa :D

I'll catch up with you in the week and we'll chat about it.

Yes, as Ricky says, it is looking to be dry at the moment.

Few more days will confirm that.

Ricky, might need you to give me a report on the roads down your way nearer the time.

Salt factor is what I'm thinking of.

If things aren't too bad, I'll be there, along with Mr Poseidon, my friend Lee, The Don and hopefully Steve

Weather should be ok.
There's some rain moving in from the west towards the end of the week but it will loose intensity and should stay far enough south, out of the way.

I'll keep an eye on it.

LOL, wait until you see my car Rash - I haven't washed it since October!!!! I have the DR520 look on the wheels.

If I can survive the temps then I will clean it on Friday.

Good to hear there are some more troops coming down - if you guys get down there for 8:00-8:30 then you can register to go out for passenger laps.

DR520 look... Hahaha

Yes, I'm trying to rally some of us together :D

Getting there for around 8am would mean getting up at around 5am

I'm happy to do it if the others are happy to meet earlier, but I suspect it may be alittle too early for some. I will ask them though.

At the moment, we'll probably be meeting at 7am, to get there for around 9am.

SWSBO would not be happy with me getting up at the crack of a sparrows f&@t!

Lol

Fair enough. We'll still aim to meet at clackett at 7am.

I will continue to keep an eye on the weather.
