I've still not had chance to drive this car properly yet due to a combination of things, mainly just being too busy with both work and the 190E.
I did however manage to get it out for an hour or so this morning to put some fuel in it so I decided to take the long way round and covered around 50 miles.
As it was relatively early on a Sunday morning, I decided that country roads were where I wanted to be instead of just slogging up and down a motorway, so this was what I went for. I started off with a bit of a warm up on some local A roads just to get the temps up. These change to white at 70 for Water and 50 for Oil unlike the M157 at 80 for both, though I tend to wait a bit longer before using it properly. I then found some quiet B roads.
The cornering ability of what amounts to practically two tons of car is amazing. It just goes round with no drama and maintains grip all the way through, though I've no doubt that when it does let go it could get messy. So far so good. As for the performance it's stunning and, dare I say it, a lot quicker than the M157, though this is no doubt due to the excellent four wheel drive system which just doesn't give up gripping. I've actually not seen the traction light come on yet, though it is dry up here today...
I'm possibly getting used to them now, but the seats are surprisingly comfortable. They look really hard and, whilst being firm, they're extremely supportive yet relaxing at the same time. No fatigue or, more importantly, bad back after an hour or two. I just get out of the car feeling as good as when I got in it.
I'm still not enamoured with the little touch pads on the steering wheel, though have now realised that any major operations can now be done by other means, so this is a bonus. They're still necessary for changing dash layouts and info screens, though these are non-essential operations really.
So far I'm loving it though need to drive it a bit more as I've still only done less than 700 miles in it, 250 of which were bringing it home from the dealership I bought it from.
