GROUP BUY for AMG n/a 55,43 Engines?

Even though I'm not going to benefit at all from this thread, I thought i'd show the n/a 55 AMG owners how they could benefit:

YouTube - E55 AMG V8 W210 Vs BMW M5 V8 E39 *Don't forget to watch in high quality* W210 E55 vs E39 M5

YouTube - LJUNGWALD's Channel 0-200kmh in 16.9 secs, You will notice he has a chip upgrade, his rev limiter is set to 6.4k rpm.

YouTube - LJUNGWALD's Channel And this is a sound video

All from the same guy, only thing is his headers are KLEEMANN headers. Watching his vids makes me want to buy the W210 E55 if i'm honest. :)

Better still Adam a C43 with a E55 engine fitted!!!!

Have you red the positive feedback AMS has received on www.mbworld.org forum?

I dunno about headers but there are several dudes buying the crankshaft pulley and they were really surprised about the results after!
Positive or negative feedback is up to your imagination about these pulleys!
I recommend to do a search on this forum and then make your own conclussions about these mods!

Headers are cool if they can breathe better than the original AMG ones!

Try the search function on MBWorld.org Mercedes Benz Enthusiast Community about these parts!

Does original headers from a 1999 E55 engine fit a 1999 C43 engine?

Since this is the same engine basically are these headers bigger in size or diameter to fit the original C43 exhaust pipe system?

Agreed.....there is differing feedback on AMS on the US forums.

so what's true and what's not?
AMS stuff good or bad?

Can someone explain in layman's terms (idiots guide) what this mod does to a C55?! I presume it would invalidate a Merc warranty?!?

Good headers on the 55 engine should give approx 25bhp, top it with a good remap you get say another 18 - 20, then if you freeflow the exhaust (remove 2nd cats for xpipe) and remove the middle silencer you are looking at a clean 400bhp. Better cats would also help and possibly a pulley.

Our engines become killers after that, (see the swedes silver e55) and they do not seem to be mods that really stress our engines.

I am planning to do all these but the money does mount up especially if you go for kleemann which I think I will.

When I spoke with them the remap will be £795+vat then maybe sth extra as I only wanted to do it on the dyno (before and after). The headers should come just over £1,100.

In terms of our engines though the best output comes from american tuner Renntech but their remap is over $2k.

They have gone down considerably i price if the figure you have quoted is correct, i looked at buying some a year or so ago and i could not get a reply from Kleeman, but the prices on the US forum seem to suggest prices well in excess of $3000 for a pair, was that price from Kleeman or a distributor?
