Gulp..just changed wifeys car.. and its NOT a merc - yikes

You say boring, but I thought it was pretty good! :thumb:

Ah!! Jag interiors, yes! A good friend of mine has just part ex'd his 211 for an XF. What a car! Beautiful inside, wonderful smooth, quiet 3.0 diesel. Fabulous car. I'm a little green if honest! :D

I could never have an XF for one simple reason - the new 'diagonal' Jaguar badge really irritates me!

Agreed! Much prefer the old round one. But the rest of the car is really nice!

Nothing a few seconds with a screwdriver couldn't fix...

Dillon - lovely motor mate. I really like the colour combo, but having said that I do agree with Fred that the dash could have done with some tan colour to make the wheel and gear selector look a little less out of place!

My first XJ-S was a very similar paint colour.

Really nice car:thumb:, like someone else said on the first page the colour choice isn't my cup of tea either but still, think it's nice and hope she enjoys driving it.

Very nice, quite like the colour combination I don't imagine we'll ever see another S5 like that which is always good.. Looked at one in [shock] sprint blue before I got my E cab, found the ride and handling too.. lardy? I like the sharper ride I've got in my E cab though so it's not an issue for me others may be put off by that.

How's the interior quality? I've not had any rattles/creaks for a while but fully expect some to develop, fit and finish in Audi's are supposed to be good so does it suffer with the whole frameless door and convertible roof creaks?

Love the interior - not sure I would have selected the paint though. Perhaps I'm not brave enough!!

the softness of the trim was impressive, admittedly the dash shape is not great in the audi, but the e class to me just appears too angular..

audi feels great, and i did not feel any rattle. the car felt very rigid..

i think the merc was more rigid overall, but i could not fault the audi

At the risk of repeating myself the E class coupe shares its underpinnings and wheelbase with the first C CLASS W204 with its poor man's "adaptive" suspension the flawed "agility control package" . :o There are signs that the latest facelift model of the C class has improved in that respect so hopefully this will percolate through to the E class cabriolet.:thumb: So I 'm not surprised you found the Merc "rigid".:(
