I'm picking up my new (to me) black 2008 SL63 next week from MB Basingstoke, and whilst I expect it to be "clean and shiny", we all know that that is just a quick clean for sales purposes.
I would be grateful for a recommendation in or around the London area for a Detailing Firm that could really do the car justice. (I have no preference for mobile or 'drive to them' firms. But the car is parked outdoors).
I anticipate that I will need the following services:
Thorough clean inside and out.
Clay followed by a single stage polish.
(Diamond cut wheels are being refurbished at Lepsons as we speak)
Lubrication of rubber seals, particularly to the folding roof.
Dressing of external vinyl, and Tyres
Glass cleaned both sides
Engine bay clean
Inside: clean and care of leather seats and trim.
If possible a reduction/elimination of stretch 'ripples' in both leather seats
All the above is probably standard stuff, so I should point out at this stage that whilst I do my own detailing, it's done in small manageable amounts, because I'm partly disabled and simply don't have the physical strength to do a whole car, hence the need for professional help on this one.
One thing you will have noticed is missing from the above list is a wax or sealant for both the bodywork and the newly refurb'd wheels.
I'm a big fan of Gtechniq's 'C2v3' Liquid Crystal sealant. It seems to protect my current car and makes cleaning (jet, snow, 2 bucket, towel) really easy. (I'm knackered after that!!)
Should I stick with the C2 or look at one of the better 'Protection' systems for the interior and exterior? If so, which one do you recommend?
Your comments would be much appreciated
Cheers,
Robert
