Help pleeease clk 230 kompressor "2002" error code p0702

Hi there , you guys and girls,
Im new hear so you have to bear with me lol,
I've got my clk 230 kompressor w208 model and just started it after being parked up for 3 years.
It seems to of gone into limp mode .
checked with the diagnostic(basic laptop) and the error code P0702 has come up.
deleted the code and sure enough its back again.

so far i have.

put a new battery

disconnected the battery leads and connected them together to remove static that maybe on board

disconnected the plug at the front of the auto tiptronic box and cleaned and refitted

but to no avail

any help would be most appreciated as i'm a little lost?


do i have to have the gearbox ecu reprogrammed?
bear in mind the car has only done 20k

Andreas, trust this guy and charge the battery. If you don't trust him, have some faith in the Eastern European experience .

i,ve had the battery on charge over night and this morning fired her up cleared the fault with the diagnostics and there you go again its come back

any more idea's to where i go from here?

p0702 fault code still present when engine running
but not when just the ignition is on ,
any idea's anyone

This code sounds more like it has something to do with the automatic transmission controller plate in the gearbox or the transmission ecu.

try changing the gearbox oil ? and driving it if possable, plates may have stuck as its not been used for a while

I think after 5 years he's more than likely changed the car.

Just be aware these cars are known for throwing wrong fault codes, so go back to basics and eliminate the obvious first,
