I am amazed that someone will sell junk like that. There is no hope of that adapter ever doing anything other than creating chaos.

Supposingly this adapter cable will "Plug n play" the latest 2005+ comand to the prefacelifted cars 2000-2004. Is this possible?

potential problems:
how about your existing cd changer, UHI phone system, etc? Will they have to be replaced together with all the optical harness?

Maybe it works as standalone solution if you dont have any optical extras...

My adapter is very different from that!

What I sell takes the standard C connector and converts it to C1 and C2. Looking at the picture you refer to in the link, mine is not what you want.

What they are pretending to sell on that link is an adapter from D2B to MOST head units.

Sunman and myself are the only people on the face of the earth insane enough to even consider such a project. Presently I drive my car around with NO INTERIOR. Not even a dashboard or floor carpet. Just two front seats and nothing else. Basically that is what your car will look like with a project like this.

Bit like this then? :)

Besides the fact that MOST based units need radical car conversion when put into a D2B wired car... the MCS II units are developed for the US and Canadian market, and they will never, ever work with the European navigation discs.

There are so many things wrong with that adapter concept. You can't even begin to list it.

The only one thing I can think to use it for is testing head units on a bench.
