Help: temp sensor for 108D

Hello folks, I have a 1997 108D van. I am hoping a clever soul can help me out. The temperature guage on my dash console has stopped working. I am somewhat wishing it is the sensor and not the instrument cluster. Would somebody kindly help me locate the sensor so that I can check it out. I'm not very good with engines but I am sure I could change a sensor if I knew where the damn thing was...
