The other night it rained heavily whilst the car was parked. In the morning I got into the car all was good...until I turned into a corner! Water gushed out like out of a bucket!!! It lasted for 30 seconds, trickling away. It hasn't happened since. I read somewhere that leaves can block the drainage system etc. Any ideas guys? ;(

Hi,
It will most likely be the drains blocked in the heater intake, water fills it up if the drains are blocked and it overflows into the heater system and comes out by the pollen filter.
To clear them you need to remove the trim immediatly in front of the windscreen and the wiper motor assembly to access the top of the heater box which needs to be removed and use a straightened coat hangar to poke the drains free. Mine were done when the windscreen was changed as it was apart. The chances are the pollen filter will soaked to so I would replace that at the same time.

Thanks Andy! Can it be a DIY job or should I go for an indie? And how much should it cost approx?

You should be able to clean the scuttle panel yourself. Simple enough job.
When you open the bonnet there you will be able to see a panel with mesh in it, then look what way it is mounted then take it off clean all the crap and refit.
Start small.....

Thanks Tolly I will give it a go tomorrow!!!

Instead of useing a coat hanger try an old bicycle brake cable, as its flexible to go round corners of drainage holes.

Old guitar strings are another option if you are musical :)
