hidden menu for w203 (fully off esp and more)

Hi there,

I stumbled across this today and it works in my c180 w203. Quite fun!

Press the reset odometer button three times fairly quickly with the key in pos 1. You can then see the exact voltage of your battery.

You can cycle through to turn off esp fully (i think) in some kind of dynomode (if you really want to - not advisable )

You can get your vin and software versions etc ... and also turn to position 2 for the oil level (4.6litres in my case).

Quite fun.

EDIT : It also tells you what oil quality you are set up with - this can change service intervals whether it is fully synthetic or part etc..

Scary stuff. :O even turns off ABS? Me thinks track-use only.

Amazing what "easter-eggs" are in vehicular s/w...

Doesn't work in all models - if not in yours try turning key to posn one and holding the r button for about 30 secs. It should bring up the same menu.

Unfortunately this doesn't help me in my attempts to enter the dyno mode in a 2000 CL as neither work for me (i get the general menu, not the dyno mode option)!

Its fairly well known - and yes ESP is fully off, along with TCS, ABS and many other TLA's
