how fast you dare to drive your Mercedes ?!

170 on a turbocharged GSXR11. After that, anything on 4 wheels seemed rather tame.

I unfortunately got caught in late 2014 in my Alfa Romeo GT. Coming out of Greenlaw in the Scottish Borders, heading for Berwick, there is a long open straight section. Stuck behind a 5-series and a tractor, I dropped it into 3rd and booted it. Perfectly safe manoeuvre, no traffic coming at all, dry conditions...unfortunately didn't pay any attention to my speedo during the overtake and the traffics in their Volvo were hiding behind a hedge. Clocked at 93mph (backed off after the overtake and took it back down to 60, which is the speed I was doing when the police came up behind me), so just unfortunate timing. 5 points plus a fine and I've learned my lesson. Rarely push my 190. Luckily the points have had zero affect on my insurance.

did 190mph at a Vmax event and it was still pulling hard until the engine under tray ripped off which in turn pulled the drivers inner wing off!!!

Needless to say I needed a underwear change at the end of the runway

I did the same on a Terminal Velocity UK day. Luckily it went straight under the car and took off behind me. I think Marty359 has footage of it.

Incidentally if you are ever on the M55 look out for a very inconspicuous grey 55 plate Beemer estate - an unmarked constabulary vehicle which must have a gigantic motor in it.... as many budding speed freaks have found out. I of course always stick to 70 :p

Could be a 550i. That would do alright.

I once did 150, on the clock, late at night on the A55 in my Lotus Turbo, my mate was screaming down in the footwell, that was in the 80s though. Would never do that nowadays.

202mph on the clock 194mph through the speed trap at 1.3m in the SL63. 187mph on then clock 184mph speed trap over same distance with a head wind and only 1k miles on the engine in the GTS (but it got there a lot quicker).

175 in both an E55K and E60 M5. Both still pulling hard but i ran out of bottle - the thought of "****, if i have a blowout at this speed they'll be picking me up with tweezers" was enough to lift off!

An indicated 159mph racing (and beating) an Audi towards a fast approaching right hander.
