How much do you pay for insurance

7 yrs no claims , car on drive .. £495 for the C43....Classic policy with agreed value @ 24k and mods declared .. £440 for the 911.

Just seen this post and was interested to see what others pay for their insurance. Obviously, there are many different variables on this but I have just renewed my insurance at a total cost of £394 fully comp.
I'm 42, car is garaged in a Dorset postcode and with 8 yrs NCB and £150 excess

I have gone from £820 for the E350cdi estate to £280 for the C220 cdi estate.

39 years old.
Norfolk post code
Garaged on E350 and parked on street for C220.
3 points on license (9 in the last 5 years)
Wife named driver.
9+ years NCD.

All depends where you live, your age, if there is any points on your licence, NCB, type of work you do, type of car, engine size, value of the car, where it`s parked at night, do you own you property, and so on.

Indeed..

£1688.39...fully comp

<-- where I live
No points on licence, no claims/accidents within past 5 years
3 years no claims bonus
2007 E320 CDi Avantgarde 4 dr (3.0 V6)
Value - £10k or thereabouts
Parked on street

Two main factors pushes the price up - age (27) and the car is insured for the carriage of passengers for hire and reward. Furthermore there is no mileage restriction.

Have thought many times if I passed the advanced driving test how much cheaper it would be, which may take one day.

My bike is insured through IAM Surety, last time I renewed it was more than the cheapest quote I got through Hastings, though they were happy to match it, and it came with further benefits of riding other bikes 3rd party, and business use.

CL65

BT postcode

Fully comp with business use

The wife (28) and I (30)
5 years NCB protected with 300 excess

£1240.00

This was the cheapest I could get; some crazy quotes of 3500 and 4000....oh and also a comment from one company to try again when I am 40!

Not sure how the wee smiley guy got in there? That should read 28

£1000

2005 C270 CDI Advangarde
Age - 20
NCB - 3 Years
1 - NON FAULT Claim
Social, Domestic and Pleasure Plus commute to a work place.
Fully Comprehensive

Just had the renewal for mine through....c32, fully comp, declared mods, me and the Mrs gu postcode, protected no claims, no mileage restrictions and £250 excess.... £660.00

Insurance in britain is a total ripp off , each car you own has to have its own insurance , tax, mot etc still trying to come to terms with it , i have a camper plus , 2 cars and a Gwagen plus a trike and 3 bikes , its rather costly as you can imagine the camper is £185 a year, volvo 240 estate £135, an astra 1.7club estate£150 , the G wagen £150 , the trike £150 , but the silly thing is the bikes are all insured under 1 policy which costs £85 a year , theyre all fc i have 9 years no claims in fact much more but thats immaterial to insurers ,my excess is 150 on all , have tried getting them all under one policy like am used to as lived in Brittany for a few years over their you can have 1 car or 10 cars all under same policy as its you the driver thats insured and doesnt cost huge amounts unlike here ripp off britain .
Have tried hastings and various others and all of them are quoting far more than am paying now individually utter complete nonesense .

I think I might be an exception here;

When I had the C55 I was paying £272 pa. Thats fully comp, no points, £500 excess.

The B class I was initially quoted £175 pa, fully comp by direct line.

I now pay £58pa. YES fifty eight. Fully comp £250 excess.:bannana:

Postcode is GU21, no points, no claims for decades, and i'm in the best age group for insurance.

C32 AMG. ~£530 with 6 years NCB. Had a company car before and couldn't get all the NCB. 48 years young. Thought it wasn't too bad considering how much some young lads have to pay for for a 1L corsa

1999 C200 manual
Aged 28 plus wife aged 27
1 years no claim, car parked on the street
£200 excess
£1400 for the year.

E 350 coupe + C 220 Estate + GSXR 1000,
All fully comp, 10 years of NCB, no points, joint cover for myself and wife (on three separate polices, before you ask),

Total comes to £910.

I must say there is a significant difference (around £500), since my points (SP50) got removed last year.

Admiral quote for my imminent new car (E220cdi Coupe Sport)

£350 p.a. (Glasgow, on drive, SD&P, no points, 47yo)

Let's see what MB bring to the party when I collect it :)

I thought it would be interesting to know what other members pay for their insurance. I'll start off;
W211 320Cdi
16 years no claims
Me & wife
£370 FC

W204 320CDi, full NCB, 10k/year, no convictions, no commuting, includes protected NCB for me and wife £227. Currently with Churchill.
I always shop around at re-newal time and haggle hard. Usually achieve a reduction or minimal increase each year.:bannana:

Hi I am 68 next month my wife is 66 got full comp on my SL350 for £212 with Saga,10 years ncd,I think that was quite good.

W203 c220 2004 I'm 35 and have 6 years no claims (should have 10 but tesco's conned me out of 4 years) No convictions
I live in merseyside and although we're i live is nice (wirral) the area is not the best insurance wise.
parked on driveway overnight
£300 excess
Esure £680 fully comp

I was with tesco with my transit connect paying £1000 a year with 5 years no claims, when I got the c220 I got the van insured elsewhere (commercial insurance ) they matched the current no claims I had and got it insured for £650 fully comp. Tesco then wanted £1350 to insure the merc fully comp with the 6 years no claims. Luckily my policy was up for renewal a week later.

So for the price tesco wanted just for the merc I got the merc and transit insured for the same price. It pays to shop around.

Oh and my 4 years no claims went missing as when I went with tesco's 6 years ago they didn't tell me about the clause if you have 4 years or less no claims you lose them and start again, absolute b*****ds.

Hi I am 68 next month my wife is 66 got full comp on my SL350 for £212 with Saga,10 years ncd,I think that was quite good.

I think that is an excellent result. My wife use Saga so I'll give them a try in june. They may do a further discount for two vehicles. Thanks
